Still processing my experience at the Revolution show Friday night. It felt like a wake--somber, surreal. The celebration of life and the mourning of a loss of someoneās physical form. Made me think about making sure you-well, I-put as much meaningful stuff into the world before I leave it.
Although Wendy and Brownmark handled the singing capably, and Mint Conditionās Stokley almost stole the show despite only appearing for half of it, the truth is that The Revolution didnāt even need to sing. Seemingly every member of the audience was singing along with every word.
The communal aspect of the show was almost comforting. Although Iām usually uncomfortable and annoyed at crowded shows, this felt like a family reunion of sorts.
