This wasnโt the first time Fuma broke your heart but you were getting used to it, or so you thoughtโฆ
This usually didnโt happen, you and Fuma didnโt argue over such dumb things but when did it change? Was he falling out of love? Was he ever in love? were things going that badly between you two?
How long have you been blinded by the amount of love you have for him to not notice he hasnโt been the Fuma you fell in love with?
And so you laid in bed, listening to your comfort song, over thinking if being with Fuma was what you really wanted or needed, well, you immediately fell in love the minute K introduced you to him and it has always felt like the right thing, memories overflow your head, both bad and good so you space out for some time
โAre you okay?โ You hear from across the room, you didnโt notice K was already back home, seeing K was not exactly what you needed, especially since he is Fumaโs best friend but you werenโt going to tell him to go away
โFuma told me what happenedโ he said as he carefully got closer to you, you didnโt feel like crying anymore, you have been crying almost every single night since the big fight you had with Fuma but seeing K sparkling and worrying eyes made you feel something, naturally, tears start coming out of your eyes
โI know itโs not my place to talk but I donโt like seeing you like this again over him, specially over a dumb fightโ again? does it mean he knows about the other times you have laid down in bed crying over Fuma?
โI mean, you are not exactly a quiet crier, your headphones are only noise canceling to you, you know that, right?โ You both chuckle and before you know it K is lying right next to you, inevitably you turn around to face him, getting a closer look into his eyes, such loving eyes, you never want to admit how much K loves and wants you, you know K wouldnโt get in between you and Fuma. He wouldnโt be able to do such a thing specially since he knows how much you love Fuma and as the oldest of you three, he, in a way, felt like he had to take care of you, specially since he has loved you before you started loving Fuma
โDo you think he still loves me?โ You ask K before turning away from him, you could not handle to look him straight into his eyes after asking him if he believes his best friend loves you
โWhy wouldnโt he?โ You hear him say, followed by a soft โI know I doโ
Then everything went silent, heโs not sure you heard him but something inside of him hopes you did and that you feel the same way, gosh, you do love K but why does it feel like everything is falling apart ?
You have never forgotten how loving and caring K was with you before Fuma started taking interest in you but you felt how you both grew apart after you started dating Fuma
โI justโ you say as you sit up โdo you think we are meant for each other?โ you ask him
โI think you are meant to be with someone who loves youโ he says as he sits up next to you, caressing your back
โSo, do you think he still loves me?โ You ask him once more before turning your head to face him, he was closer than you imagined but he wasnโt surprised by the short distance, this wasnโt the first time you have been this close, nothing has ever happened between you two but K never takes his attention away from your lips, hoping one day you will let his lips meet yours
โWell, I do love youโ he says without hesitation, โI know you are deeply in love with him but I canโt help fall for you every single day, I have loved you ever since I met you, it is not just simple attraction, I love every single thing about you andโฆโ you werenโt really paying attention, is not a surprise to hear that he does love you but why now? So suddenly. The words โI love youโ have never slipped from his mouth, not even after 7 years of friendship
All of a sudden K went quiet, you look up to meet his eyes but he is staring directly at the door, as you see Fuma standing by the doorframe, you wonder how much did he listenedโฆ And does he really care that his best friend is confessing to you so out of the blue?
