Happy Birthday Chester B.

Today, Chester would be 42. Another fabulous year of his life. Another year he could have touched us with his infectious laugh, music, and personality. Last year, i had planned to make a Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy reference for his 42nd birthday. I never imagined i would lose my hero exactly 8 months earlier. My heart is broken knowing hes not with us to celebrate another year. Some days I feel okay, other days I hurt so bad. Today I feel tremendous pain again. He did so much for me, and his millions of fans. And for that, if anything, I am eternally greatful. I used to wake up and immediatly check for what ridiculous or inspring thing Chester had to say. Now all i have are the memories of the things he said. Theyre nice, but its different without him here. I will never get to hug him and thank him for everything he did for me. He was always there. When I felt there was no one. Chester was there. He was my hero, my role model, my inspiration. No one will ever replace him. I will always look up to Chester, and always try to make Chester proud. Happy birthday. I miss you so much. Thank you for touching the lives you have. I hope youre rocking up there with my uncle Bruce and having a great time.

My dad told me that he has a coworker who’s a trans woman. She was married to this girl before her transition and they remained together after it. Everyone at work respects her pronouns. My dad is in a chiefing position at his office and he told me that nobody jokes behind her back. She and her wife have two cute dogs together and I felt like I should share this story bc I want everyone to know that this positivity and respect exists and you deserve it. Don’t ever dare think that you don’t because you do.
