I went to see Jim Adkins this week and even though I was having the most awful day, for the 3 hours I was in that room I forgot absolutely everything I had to worry about. And maybe the hour I spent pre-gig star fishing the most amazing bed ever.

The support Jodie Marie was perfect, the most beautiful voice, we missed some of her set because the queue was insane but the 3 or 4 songs I did catch were so lovely. Her album is on spotify and I would recommend it to anyone.

Jim Adkins was so good at interacting with the crowd and the eerily quiet atmosphere of a sit down gig made his voice echo even more perfectly around the room. I laughed, had a little cry and spent the entire 26 song set with goosebumps. Such a perfect gig.

Highlights: Please Say No (Jimmy Eat World cover), Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cindy Lauper cover) and Hell (Jim Adkins original)

Invented is such a good album. I’m glad that Jimmy Eat World Invented it. Hopefully in the near Futures they will make more albums such as it. It gives me so much Clarity that I believe that soon I can try to Chase This Light of the Futures album.
