His features were rather soft unlike his current timeline self, but still obtained his semi grungy aesthetic, as well as his father’s ‘menacing’ glower. The boy was walking out and a bout, bare feet against the sun-beaten pavement with his gator, Bella, in tow, when he noticed the strange woman. He stopped a few inches short of standing in front of her, confused as to who the hell she was. She could’ve just been some passing through the neighbourhood, sure, but something about her did feel right.“Uh… Hello there ma’am? What’s got ya’ out in this part of town?”

That sounded weird but cool at the same time. It was a bit difficult to picture. Animals that slow wandering through traffic without any care. So she made a mental note to look it up later. Once she was successfully back in her own time with her team.

‘So she’s probably older than three years.’ Kimiko mused mentally. The gator didn’t look particularly old. Nor did she look young either. Determining a gator’s age seemed a bit more difficult than she anticipated. She nodded her head at his words. Looking at him, she blinked. Then she grinned sheepishly as she stated,“Oh. Sorry, I guess I’m more scatterbrained than I thought.”

“My name’s Kimi.”

“Nice name ma’am. “ Kimi? Huh.. He was tempted to ask if it was a nickname, though, that wasn’t much of his business.. Most Kim’s or ‘Kimi’s’ were short for names like, Kimberly, Kimberlin, Kimball and Kimi- “Oh! Uh, pardon my manners, I’ve been rambling so long I hadn’t introduced myself either. I’m James, though, uhm I prefer Jimmy.“ He wouldn’t explain why because his reason was a little dumb. It was shifting from blue to grey as a few clouds filled the sky. He looked to the older, and awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. “So you seriously have no clue where you came from..?” He didn’t mean to pester her with the question, but he was becoming a little doubtful that she actually lived in this part of the neighborhood. “Uh, I looks like it’s about to rain and I didn’t bring shoes, so I probably need to head home soon.”

Crap. Crap. Crap. Please don’t, not now… “N-No! Rikki please… Y-You don’t -argh!” He’d been struggling to keep himself up, finally slipping on the mess beneath him. He couldn’t seem to do anything right, could he? Instead of potentially dying from blood loss, he’d die from embarrassment that night. All because poison couldn’t stop playing fricken games… “Rikkiii…?” He mumbled, too tired to protest at this point. “Please…”

She hesitated. He didn’t want her to go in, but maybe he was just like, really messed up. Maybe not thinking straight. 

“… Okay. Just keep talking to me, okay?”

Her voice sounded so distant, so faint. He could barely hear much other than an odd soft static, it would’ve been almost calming if he wasn’t laying in his own blood on the cold bathroom floor. Fucking lame ass healing factor… “Ni hacarav tut..?” He mumbled, unsure of what he’d even said.

It didn’t take much. She’d had a lot of practice. 

“Jesus! Jimmy- what- are you hurt? Where’d all this blood come from-?!” 

Rikki was beside him, already checking him for injuries. He had to have… done it himself, right? People didn’t just bleed like this.

…He really didn’t expect that. He watched as she rushed in, curling into himself as she approached. If he hadn’t been dazed, he probably would’ve responded irritably, but he could hardly muster much anger in this state. He just wished she didn’t have to see this. “M’okay Rikki… You don’t need to do this.. Its just a little… a little… blood… I’ll heal…”

“Which cape outta what?” She grabbed a towel and draped it over him. “Come on. Show me where you’re hurt, I don’t wanna make it worse by like, poking you.”

He cursed as he struggled to push himself up, every part of his body feeling too weak to move. He instead settled for leaning against her, and tried not to get her all bloodied. “C’mon Rikki.. This isn’t necessary… Let me just.. close my eyes for a moment and I’ll be okay..”

“Daken, come on, stop bein’ all gushy and stuff, i-its not like I’ll be gone…” Forever? Right. Seeing his brother like this horrified him. He usually was the emotional wreck, not Daken -well at least most of the time… He wasn’t supposed to be upset, he wasn’t supposed to be happy either. The dumb kid thought he’d at least act halfway like he didn’t care.

But, Daken was only human. I guess now was a bad time to tell him he wasn’t sure if he was coming back…

Jimmy walked over, patting the older on the back. “Look at the bright-side Daken, you won’t have to worry about a hormonal blond brat now. And you can invest more of your time, I dunno, doing whatever you did before you met me?” He smiled at the older, a hint of bitterness in his tone, though it wasn’t directed to Daken.
