comfort
And just as he predicted, it did, so he caved once more and tapped a message out to Jinah, instead.
[ â -> beanie stealer ] so gues who had a shitty day today [ â -> beanie stealer ] me [ â -> beanie stealer ] what a surprise  right? [ â -> beanie stealer ] btu yeah come over? doorâs unlocked
The thrum of her phone buzzing against the wooden desk top drew Jinah out of her focused daze, eyes drifting away from her potions homework to the illuminated screen of her phone. Four messages came through in rapid succession and for a brief moment, it had her mildly worried â her phone was never this active unless she was in a group chat with her fellow coven members and best friends, or if something was wrong. As soon as she caught sight of the name of the sender however, her short lived anxiety fizzled away pretty quickly and she snorted, only just resisting the urge to roll her eyes. Yoongi â she really shouldnât have been surprised. Dropping her pencil in favor of grabbing for her phone, she unlocked the screen and opened up the conversation, virtual keys clicking breaking the silence sheâd been immersed in.
[ â -> minyoong ] honestly do you ever have good days
Finger hovering over the send button, she thought better of it and back spaced it all, locked her phone instead as she rose from her seat. If heâd had a shitty day, she didnât want to worsen his mood by being completely insensitive when he wouldnât be able to hear the lack of bite behind her words or the almost fond quality of them. She opted not to reply at all, figured heâd know by now after how long they had been at this that sheâd come regardless of whether she answered his messages. Shoving her phone into the back pocket of her shorts, Jinah didnât bother to clean up her mess of potions notes from her desk, simply grabbed her keys out of the backpack at the foot of her bed and headed for the door. There had been a time when she was keen on dressing to impress, even for a casual hookup. She liked to look good after all, but she had been with Yoongi enough times now that she really couldnât be bothered to doll herself up for him. Her clothes always ended up on the floor anyways, so there really was no point. Tugging her hair up into a messy bun on her way out, Jinah locked her apartment door behind her (more out of habit than necessity) and shuffled her way over to the stairs, uncaring about walking bare footed through the carriage house.
Trekking up the two flights of stairs to reach the third floor, it didnât take long before she had drifted down the hallway to Yoongiâs apartment, letting herself in without any sort of announcement of her arrival. All the lights were off, the only illumination coming from the obviously forgotten movie playing on his television screen and Jinah scoffed quietly, letting the door shut behind her as she invited herself further into his living room. âJesus Yoongi, could you be any more dramatically clichĂŠ?â She knew how he could get, had listened to the secrets he spilled when his was tongue loosened by copious amounts of alcohol and had learned long ago just how caught up in his own head he could get. It didnât surprise her really, to find him so melancholy and throwing himself a pity party in the dark of his empty apartment. Dropping down onto the couch beside him, Jinah didnât hesitate to throw her legs over his lap, making herself comfortable and looking at him expectantly. âSo you gonna share the booze or do I have to say please?â As curious as she was about what was bothering him so badly this time, she knew better than to start prying right away. She hadnât started drinking yet and she doubted he was drunk enough to start sharing his feelings.
