* –– the fault in our fort
“hey, you don’t actually want to use that ugly pillow, too, do you?” sowon frowns, disgust pulling her nose into wrinkles as she stares at the soft building block in taeyong’s hands. “it looks like the wrinkly skin of old ladies, it totally doesn’t fit the fresh and trendy look of our fort,” she points out, nodding at the half-built shelter with her head. the difference is obvious: so far, they have mostly used either beautiful virgin snow white pillows or bright-colored, funky ones, which made it look ten times cooler than it already was.
sowon and taeyong have been planning on getting this pillow fort dream become reality and now that they’re finally there, she can’t not be totally overjoyed. she has never denied the childlike side of herself, especially not when she’s one of the resident pranksters of baridegi; it’s quite obvious, but so far, she hasn’t found anyone who would be into such childish things as building a pillow fort and having a picnic inside or a movie marathon with the help of our modern generation’s portable tablets. taeyong, however... sowon thinks that he’s probably a soulmate or something of the sort and she’s extremely grateful for deciding to befriend him instead of trying to beat him up after their first meeting.
(of course, that doesn’t mean that she can’t do the latter anymore.)
“i hope you bought blankets because it seems like we’re going to have quite a chilly night,” sowon mentions, failing to display it but desperately hoping that he would have a positive answer; she doesn’t want to get her ass frozen during this great back to nature sleepover of theirs. // @cvtaeyong
* –– no fit state
“oh don’t worry, i trust you. i have a partner whose ass i can’t even stand when we’re not in bed and although we both enjoy it, i admit it’s not the best way to go.” she chuckles, thinking of jonghyun and their last hook-up a while ago. “so, your dorm, was it?”
it took her by surprise, hearing the other actually admit that she would be interested in testing out exhibitionism. to be quite honest, it only made her feel all the more attracted to her partner, an easy smirk slipping onto her lips as she quirked an eyebrow, “are you serious?” sana couldn’t hold back the short chuckle that slid out, mostly in shock that the witch was so open about her interests. that was important – a relationship without talking, even one that involved a mental link like they had now, was not an arrangement that would work out well in the end. and while it wasn’t necessarily her cup of tea, if her partner was interested, there wasn’t anything that she wouldn’t be willing to try. “yeah, we can give it a shot. i wouldn’t make the offer if i wasn’t serious about it. but we should take it slow first. we’ll start vanilla and work our way up to kinky.”
strangely enough, the familiar’s chest felt a bit lighter after her explanation. the apology made her feel, well, better about herself and her standing with sowon. was that why people liked to talk about their feelings? that gentle fluttering in her stomach, the realization that the other had accepted her apology, the genuine smile that formed on her face as the weight was lifted off of her shoulders; she kind of liked it. “if it makes you feel better, i haven’t heard anything about you. negative or otherwise. and even if it had, i’ve learned to base my opinion of people on personal experience.” there was a pause as she mulled over her thoughts, debating whether or not she should continue on. everything else had already been laid out on the table, so she might as well. “and from what i’ve experienced so far, you’re not half bad. a little irritating at first, but hey, not all first meetings can be perfect.”
if anything positive had come from the random bonding of two strangers, it would be the newfound friendship that had formed between the two of them. or maybe it was more of a friends with benefits situation, but sana was far from opposed to that. the connection that she had dreaded from the beginning wasn’t quite as bad as she had expected. all it had taken was a bit of communication for them to work things out, and she couldn’t help but wonder if a desired bond could actually be rewarding. but that was a question for another day. right now, the familiar had more important things to focus on. reaching out to grab hold of sowon’s hand, she slotted their fingers together and pulled her toward the exit of the ballroom. “right this way. i’ve got a theory i want to test.”
END.
* –– eye of the tiger
"so you think you can take me on this time?” she asks, more of a rhetorical question than anything; obviously, he wants to, considering that they’re in their usual sparring spot, positions already taken up, determination and friendly tension lingering in the air.
this has become not only a habit, but more of a weekly routine. it’s not often that sowon can find anyone who’s worthy of being a sparring partner, mostly because all those guys who had told her that they’re just so into fighting have turned out to be no more than big-mouthed boys who loved using their fists more than their brain – with no technique or use whatsoever.
taekwoon, however, is a guy truly worthy of an opponent: a black belt in taekwondoo, not really sowon’s area of expertise, but her experience in judo and karate somewhat balance that out, the combination of these having helped her out in the past, currently leading the friendly ‘tournament’ between each other by one thin win (but a win is still a win). sowon is determined to come out victorious this time, as well – but whatever will happen, is still the call of the future. // @cvtaekwoon
Jealous Jackass | Party
(...)
Guilt wasn’t eating away at his insides but he still knew it would become too serious if he let it slide, seemingly the only one observing the awkward encounters, Jackson finally stepped in. He shoved aside two guys, holding the unknown girl’s wrist suddenly. “Fucking back off, don’t touch my girlfriend.” A cliché lie.
@cvsowon
sowon parties a lot. she also usually drinks a lot, not because she thinks that getting wasted at the party is the only way to enjoy such an event, but because she adores alcohol and the effects it has on her: a heightened giddiness, the warm tingle in the pit of her stomach, the dizziness and blurriness of the world around her. she doesn’t reject drugs either, though she knows not to take too hardcore shit and usually sticks to not too shady potions and weed.
while that may sound contradictory, sowon is a responsible party person, despite all that. she knows her own limits and never goes overboard, to the point where she can’t control her own actions anymore, so whenever that accidentally happens, it’s always a (literal and theoretical) headache the next morning.
this is, however, different. she feels that something is off just mere minutes after gulping down the entirety of the drink she ordered, but it’s already too late. hazy thoughts clouding her mind, she no longer holds any control over her body or actions, and she perceives whatever happens around her with almost a whole minute delay – this is way too dangerous.
but no matter how hard she tries, she can’t seem to put two and two together and it doesn’t take long for hands to start roaming all over her body, one slipping between her legs, another behind her neck; a third one curling around her waist from behind and she feels something heavily unpleasant poking at her bottom, she is grossed out, what is happening, she can’t know, she can’t think, she can’t realize, she’s helpless and the dirty hands of even dirtier men are still glued onto her–
she realizes that the different warmth against her body transform into only one, a grip around her waist and she blinks her blurriness out of her eyes, only to see that yet another guy has approached her; but he seemed to have gotten the gross men off of her, so maybe once her mind clears out, she could thank him. “who the hell are you?” slips past her lips, a change of her mind as she tries to break out of his hold, to no avail, because whatever has been mixed in her drink (that is now almost certain), it keeps her from being able to physically react to basically anything. “who the fuck are you?!”
‘graveyard’
(...)
his eyes are wide and staring around himself, wary of every shadow or wind-swept leaf. “if I see a ghost, I’m so out of here. I will leave you here, don’t think I won’t.” it’s a lie though, of course he won’t leave her there, they both know that, but it’s worth saying just to show her how uncomfortable he is with all this, whether she has a school project to work on or not.
sowon isn’t a naturally mean or cruel person. the reason why she’s not dating jiho isn’t because she would be any of those adjectives; she just simply doesn’t like him back the way he wants to (even though he swore it was just ‘a tiny crush’). the reason why she lead him to the cemetery, one of his biggest fears in the form of a location also isn’t because she would be a bad person.
no, it’s just simply because she wanted to come here despite (or more like, because of) the supreme’s warnings not to frequent the cemetery and the poison gardens until they figure out what’s the shady thing that has been going on in this area for a while now; and jiho just happened to be the first friend of hers to pass by her. truly an unlucky day for him, no doubt.
but, there’s more beyond that reason. although not being the caring type, sowon wants him to overcome his fear because although it may sound unbelievable, she does know what it feels like to be afraid of something so much that it almost cripples you and prevents you from doing anything just slightly related to it. and it’s not a good thing, and sowon thinks that the best way to find a fear is to crawl right into its imaginary face and scratch its eyes off.
even if jiho disagrees.
“come on, i’m here with you. nothing will happen as long as you have me as your bodyguard. how can you be a man and such a pussy at the same time,” she growls with the intention of shutting him down. “if you really didn’t want to come here, you could’ve just ignored me and left instead of letting yourself be dragged along. surely that would have had its consequences but thinking with your head, they would have probably been less severe than coming here.” she’s not sure about that, but if it makes him feel any better, then let him believe so. “seriously though, trust me. i don’t desire death myself either, so if anything sketchy happens– we’re getting out together. alright? alright.”

“i don’t care whether you drink it or not,” bitna begins, her words eerily calm and civil despite her rage brewing within. how dare sowon come to her room, demand her help, and then proceed to insult it right to her face? even as a near native new yorker, such attitudes always leave her taken aback. “but i already made it, so either way you need to pay for it. it loses its potency after a few days and there’s no one else around here that needs it. might as well get your money’s worth and give it a try.”
@cvsowon
sowon has never been the medicine-taking kind of girl. that’s probably not too surprising when someone knows how rarely she gets even just a little bit sick, but even rules have exceptions and sowon once in a while finds herself caught up in a disease that just simply won’t be solved by a good work-out session or having a good physique in general. these are the times when she has to shamelessly borrow the support of meds; but even then, she only trusts one person about whom she knows will not mix anything that would end up not only failing to cure her, but instead giving her a third eye or something.
but it’s always hard to do things that you’re not accustomed to, and drinking herbal brews certainly belongs to this category. despite sowon knowing that it doesn’t have anything shady swirling inside the container handed out to her, the smell and the rather displeasing sight of the remedy is super off-putting, and she can’t help but crunch her nose at that.
“i can’t believe how you can sell these to people and actually get money for it,” she says, and while her intention is definitely not to insult her, she can’t fail to mention her genuine thoughts. “to imagine that people regularly come back to you to drink these... things, is beyond me. i respect you.”
but she can’t help trying to negotiate. “can’t you make something... less smelly, though? i honestly don’t think i can drink this. it hurts my nose so much and it probably also tastes like shit. would putting sugar or honey in it redeem it useless? i doubt, so why don’t you try doing that sometimes? perhaps it would sell even more.”
obviously, bitna isn’t amused at all and sowon doesn’t blame her, but is still reluctant to accept the remedy just like that. if only it was only smelly or only ugly... but it’s both, so it’s double the ‘ew’ and that throws sowon off way too much. she has to pay, alright. she probably should have just waited until she recovers, but the painful itch in her throat and the speed at which her thoughts go from ‘ugh, it’s too hot’ to ‘my ass is freezing’ and vice versa urges her otherwise. “how much did you say it was?”

“look, i’m sorry if i offended you with my thoughts, or if i seem like a total bitch or something. i’m really just–,” it wasn’t like her to share her thoughts and feelings like this, but if sowon was already sensing much of what she was going through, there was no point in hiding it. “i don’t want to bond, you know? in fact, being bonded to you right now makes me so unbelievably angry. it’s not you, it’s just the idea of it. sharing my head and all. so i guess i tried coping with it by messing with you, and that was kind of fucked up of me to do.” sana felt nervous, an emotion that she was not very well acquainted with, and she hated it. trying to be a better person was not worth the anxiety that came with it. “what i’m trying to say is, we should start over. and, you know, fuck. but as friends, not as two people who are annoyed by each other. trust me when i say that never works out well.”
finally, sowon feels like the other is getting a hold of her annoyance, the emotional bond for once proving to be useful. it draws a small, satisfied smile on her lips as the tension previously felt between them gradually subdues, sana herself looking a lot more relaxed after she does a few breathing techniques which has always been rather helpful to sowon, too, in the past. but she rarely gets annoyed herself, so it’s not like she has to use them often.
the mention of kinks brings a sligh twitch in the corner of her lips, her previous smile threatening to turn into more of a half-smirk. indeed, everyone has their own kinks, right? sowon has thought of exhibitionism a lot of times, but never really tried it. she can recall a few times when she did the nasty in public and under the sky, but it usually happened in secluded places, like in-between two rocks on an isolated part of the sea coast, or in a rarely visited forest far away from everything, all of these occasions happening back in finland when she was younger and therefore more thrilled (and also irresponsible) to try out these locations. it’s also not easy to find a partner who would be just okay with doing it anywhere, so sowon hasn’t really been thinking about it lately. she would not say that pure exhibitionism is a desired kink of hers; but it’s certainly intriguing enough to try once in a while. “hm, that actually sounds pretty nice. perhaps we could try it sometime, i would be curious. unless your offer was ingenuine, but you didn’t seem to be joking about it.”
sana’s apology somewhat catches her off guard; sowon was not expecting anything of the sort, based on what she saw of her personality in these past minutes, but it’s something she doesn’t reject. now that they’ve both done their parts, they could totally start off fresh. “it’s alright, i understand now. i think i felt your disgust when you found out that you bonded with me, but i wasn’t sure if it was towars bonding in itself or just towards me. of course, you didn’t even know me then, but who knows who might have heard about me before? negatively, of course.” not because she doesn’t have anything positive about herself, but because that would probably be too boring to become talking matter around campus.
sowon actually laughs at sana’s words. this girl is so blunt and sowon is so in love with that – it always amuses her when she finds someone more blunt and honest than herself. it’s pretty damn attractive, in her eyes and it just adds to sana’s generally over-the-top looks.

“I do, actually,” she perks up with the knowledge of a few European mythological stories, legends and folklores running through her head and she was quite ready to share some with the other. Sowon probably knew a lot more than she did, so the blonde looked forward to learn something more and something new from the other as well. “I love reading about it, it’s so , so interesting. On top of my head I can recall the Kraken and the Loch Ness monster. I believe that they are one of the more famous ones? The Banshee is also interesting, and the Gjenganger,as well as Odin’s Ravens Huginn and Muninn…” Now she’s the one running her mouth. “Why do you ask?”
sowon enjoys the sight of wheein seemingly enjoying her story; this is the only thing she lives for, honestly, and although she’s not putting in much input herself, it’s not like that would ever be a problem for the younger. she’s the type who usually doesn’t allow the other to talk for more than half a minute anyway, and it’s not a deliberately mean gesture of hers, it just sort of... happens all the time. she’s working on it, but what can she do if she enjoys talking so much?
wheein’s positive reaction to sowon’s question about her knowledge of mythology shocks her and excites her all at the same time. it’s so rare to find anyone, even in finland to know about scandinavian folklore or any other mythological creatures that aren’t the notorious kraken, thor or bigfoot, let alone in korea. this means that sowon will have a harder time coming up with a believable story for this lovely woman to enjoy and not be skeptic about, but – the bigger the challenge the more exciting!
“wow, i’m certainly impressed. there have been only a few people in my life who knew about the gjeganger or just anything related to scandinavian mythology. five points to gryffindor!” though sowon is fully convinced that wheein would be in ravenclaw, based on what she’s seen so far. “but tell me, o you know anything about finnish mythology? the kalevala? how the world came to exist from the finish point of view? any of the finnish gods and their stories?”

her pranks have come and gone, but most of them has not made a mark in history. which is fine, of course; they’re usually just mindless games she randomly plays on people, she’s never aiming for them to be memorable or anything of the sort. she just wants to have fun and pranking is one of her ways of eliminating boredom.
but it’s thanks to one prank of hers that she’s practically waging a war against one of the students, who, ironically, happens to be a fellow member of the magnum opus as well. honestly, their relationship is kind of ridiculous: taking revenge on each other back and forth all the damn time just because sowon once ruined jieun’s project and she got a payback. so of course sowon couldn’t sit on her ass and had to retort again, and then the cycle started. this was about two months ago, and it has been going on ever since.
that is the reason why she’s in the basement after having found out that jieun’s been working on one of her newer projects down here. sowon can’t call herself a malicious or cruel person per se, but she also can’t let anyone but herself win if things get too competitive. she’s not planning to completely trash whatever jieun has been tinkering with – that’s not her intention at all, she just simply wants to get back at her and maybe, make her work end up a bit longer than what she had intended. there’s an ounce of guilt spreading through her as she lays hand on what she supposes must be jieun’s (it’s way too creepy not to belong to her), but it all disappears once the satisfaction of her fulfilled revenge overwrites that feeling. // @cvjieun
aight lovelies, sowon desperately needs more thread goin’ so hit that like if you would like to help her out? ;-) also, if anyone wants a thread in one of the hotspot locations for the danger prompt, too, also hit that like and i’ll harrass yall in your IMs!

Junho didn’t have the best personality. His moods tend to switch from cold to hot and he has quite a temper at times. He would argue that it was only fair that he reacts the way he does when there are people in the world that do the things they do. For instance, put dye into his shampoo and dye his hair red. It took him weeks to track down the culprit and members of the fellowship had their fun with the whole situation. But Junho also made sure that they would regret their joking. Junho didn’t bother to dye his hair back and over time the color has faded each day as he has washed his hair. At this point he’s just looking to get this situation over with and punish the culprit personally for their actions. He’s not as angry as he was initially anymore. So he lifts his hand and knocks on the door, eager to just get past all this. He could just drop it, but Junho has a reputation to uphold.
being a member of the magnum opus, sowon practically had an image already thrown at her alongside her membership that she needed to keep alive and fresh. sure, it wasn’t that definite, but sowon enjoyed the resident prankster title that accomodated her rank as a member and she surely didn’t intend to just let it fade away. there were a lot of ways sowon could entertain herself, but playing around with other students on the campus was certainly her favorite method.
of course, sometimes a prank or two bites her back in the ass. she finds that totally cool, though; she screwed with someone, so a punishment is well-deserved and expected, but most of the time it’s just harmless whines and complaints from the victims followed by words spouting of pure hatred towards her and some kind of silly revenge that they never end up going along with either because they’re pussies or because they end up realizing that it’s just not worth their time.
so when someone does, in fact, come up to her and confront her about a prank she did – it’s always most unexpected. and rather bothersome, too, because sowon performs so many pranks weekly that after a while, she literally forgets about what she had done to a particular person. isn’t it quite embarrassing (but also amusing, nonetheless), when someone wants to fight her and she basically has to ask what their problem is because it doesn’t even ring a bell?
when someone knocks on her door, it’s also surprising. she doesn’t remember expecting any visitors today, but she’s, of course, always happy for company. she takes her time going to the door to open it up, but when she does, she finds someone unfamiliar on her doorstep. “hey? who are you looking for, mister?”
