What’s that saying? Screaming, crying, throwing up 😂 No, seriously though, nothing really compares to Apothecary Diaries right now I feel like. The story is so well written, the characters are captivating and the animation…just look at it. Cannot wait to have Maomao and Jinshi back in the anime and in this movie. The trailer was a welcome surprise 💜💚

Call it me knowing in advance the turns and twists awaiting these two (in the anime, not movie as it is a standalone original) but it is something how Jinshi radiates this subtle tension and solemnity in the movie teaser, you can see Jinshi is carrying a kind of burden even when nothing has been revealed yet...The gravity of his demeanor and strain set deep on his face is a really good foreshadowing of what promises to be one of the most turbulent phases of him as a person!!

I'm reading LN5 in German and. so rarely do we get a genuine goddamn laugh from either maomao or jinshi......and the corpse makeup is one of those genuine laughs.....she makes him curl up in pain from how hard he's laughing......

I also did notice how in LN5 Maomaos only happy moments (pre-trip to the west) are when she goes. hah. Jinshi used to do this thing........kicks rock
