I just realized something else about BND that makes it so good. It does more show than tell, and I think a lot movies are missing that these days. Like you have to actually watch and think about what the movie is trying to tell you versus a character telling you everything through an exposition.

One thing that's been driving me insane about Brand New Day ever since I watched it last night, is Peter being maskless on the hospital bed. The doctors that were working so hard to save his life had to cut off his spider suit and take off his mask in order to have access to his body to save him. They saw his face. And they said nothing. They saw his face and they said nothing. Spider-Man saved them so many times before, so now they're saving him by taking care of his wounds and keeping his identity a secret. They love their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

People complaining about Peters tech being too high tech in brand new day like the movie aint set in 2028 in a world that had a man in a flying metal suit in 2008, artificial intelligence in 2015, and drones that could create life like illusions in 2024 that stuff is probably low quality tech in their world, not to mention Peter's a genius who was literally introduced as a dumpster diver in his first appearance

One of the scenes that bothered me the most in BND was actually the last scene with Peter sitting alone during the sunset/sunrise and him being surrounded by the soft lighting. Visuals were trash. The lighting looked so faked and I'm so disappointed. Like "puh-lease companies, please take more time on the visual effects and pay your VFX artists more money!!!" because this could be sooooo beautiful if they cared more about the art than the money.

More Spiderman Brand New Day Thoughts (with spoilers)

The thing that keeps me going is that, it wasn't until the 2nd movie that MJ and Peter's relationship developed, so I'm assuming they want to parallel that in the new trilogy (yes, I still believe that we have at least 2 more Spiderman movies coming)

I wish she didn't find the letter like that. It was almost a bit anti-climatic. They need to bring in a romance writer to write the scenes and plot between Peter and MJ. I would have rather they drawn out the angst of her not finding out directly and just finding out how they just work together without really knowing why through their interactions with him as Spiderman.

Like that scene when they were talking with the curtain separating them. That was so cute and sad at the same time.
