the unique flavor of psychological damage they are giving to a specific demographic of gay 20-30 year olds by casting steven yeun as adult zuko and making him say gay shit

Every single major SC villain: Fool! Your empathy, your reliance on your friends - they make you weak! I am a truly strong individual who relies on nobody but myself!

I can't explain to y'all the pure joy I got from this. Look at em <33

The Homewarming video is my all time favorite thing made for Welcome Home out of literally everything. That video is a work of art to me. I want to metaphorically put it in a fancy picture frame and hang it on the wall of a museum. I am so passionate about this.
The commercials in Homewarming are so goddamn immersive, in that moment Welcome Home feels real. This feels like real commercials archived from the past. It has all the aspects of antique commercials and it's displayed wonderfully.
Then there's Eddie's segments. The editing and cinematography is STUNNING. The voice acting and mixing for it. There's so much emotion in Eddie's voice that we can see what his face looks like without even seeing it. You can feel his frustration and confusion boils up to him snapping and losing his temper for a moment.
The humor in it?? There's jokes in this that I laugh at every single time. For example, A Barely Silent Night, the pacing of the lines hit so perfectly to be hilarious. The over the top dramatics between Sally and Frank. The decision to show these two arguing because of how entertaining that is??? GENIUS!!!
And the humor doesn't overshadow the drama. There's a feeling of dread that you constantly feel from all the little details that give you that uncanny feeling. So uncanny that you UNDERSTAND why Eddie felt that way at the ending. You don't know why he's disturbed and yet it makes so much sense. The horror at the end doesn't feel jarring or sudden, its done so well. The silence is perfect. The long shots at nothing. You know how Eddie is feeling in that moment without having to explain it to you. It's shown to you so clearly.
AND THE EXTENDED SCENE FOR THIS ??? the fact that there was something cut off that we didn't see. Scenes that can only be found within Frank's mind because there's nothing to document that horror. IT'S A MASTERPIECE. It's so genius.
I genuinely want this video made to get nominated for an award. Im so serious a video that high quality deserves the recognition. The artistry cannot be overstated.
