I just saw a post on Purpled being the next Technoblade? And like? All the minors taking up a legacy?? Legit has me grinning like a mad man.
So let me be honest. I want the minors to let loose. I want somebody to fuck up. Dream, the Eggpire, Niki & Jack. I want to minors to take the legacies they’ve found themselves mirroring, and twist it into their own image. Call them the next antagonists if you will, but don’t be surprised when they take what they’ve been given and run with it.
Purpled and Tubbo. The next Techno and the next Wilbur, some might say. These two are actually friends. In fact, according to the wiki, Tubbo is literally one of two people to have a fully positive relationship with him, even if they’re distant.
Tommy and Ranboo. The next Schlatt and Dream. Charming business owner, and the guy who really just wants everyone to get along, like one big happy family. Who support each other when it comes down to it, because they want things to end a certain way.
Here’s the thing. Technoblade can chant about history repeating all he wants, but he’d be a fool to think they haven’t learned from it. To think that these kids can’t be ten times worse and a hundred times better than the ones before them.
So let the adults fuck up. Let Dream hurt Ranboo, trying to break him. Let Niki and Jack hurt Tubbo trying to get to Tommy. Let Techno hurt Tommy because he stood between him and his goal. Let the Eggpire hurt Purpled when he finds himself straying from them.
And then, let the adults see just what they’ve unleashed.
Let Tubbo bring out the nukes, the sharp intelligence and invigorating words, and unravel his enemies with almost maniac smile. Let Purple use his blades and his dogs, and his apparent apathy towards anyone who isn’t his allies, and decimate everyone in his path.
Let Tommy stand in front of his hotel and charm together a rally to support him and give him what he needs, while he sharpens his sword behind the scenes, and strategizes the quickest route to victory. Like Ranboo wear a mask of neutrality to hide his true feeling, scheming the downfall of those who hurt his little family with almost brutal efficiency, watching behind the scenes and planning every step of the way.
(Let them see the way Purpled casually grabs Tubbo before he can fall off a slippery edge and joke about railings. Let them see Ranboo and Tommy sit on a couch and comfortably discuss future plans. Let them see Purpled and Ranboo have playful spars, testing each other’s limits, evenly matched. Let them see Tubbo and Tommy listen to the discs, side to side as they quietly talk about what happens next)
Let them stand in a field of destruction, the very same types of destruction the ones everyone says they’re taking after once wreaked, and look down at everyone who ever hurt them.
Let the whole SMP see what they can become, and let them see how they never will.
(Bonus: Though I don’t think Drista will ever have a real role in the plot, if she did, I think she’d make an interesting parallel to Eret, perhaps betraying her friends for something her brother can give her, only to miss them later on, and regret it, working towards redemption and trust with them once more)
Basically, I’m a sucker for parallels, especially these sorts.
