Man do I LOVE being a multishipper and not a miserable person that shits on other ships.

Amadeo whining to Bianca that Marius never yells at him or beats him is pretty funny in of itself, but it becomes even more hilarious once you realize that Marius was probably giving him special treatment.

Because Marius is obviously not against corporal punishment on principal since his hired teachers for the boys carry switches and since he himself whipped Riccardo for Amadeo nearly drowning drunk in the canal while under his supervision. But every time Amadeo misbehaves he gets off scot-free, even when he expects to be punished, like the time he once again got drunk and crawled under Bianca's bed, Marius just takes him home and doesn't even reprimand him.

So it obviously seems like Marius is going easy on him because he's just that smitten with the boy which only results in Amadeo perceiving it as coldness and crashing out big time like "Does he not love me? Why won't he whip meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee????!!!"
