I need more mc and diavolo age gap. Yes he’s like 1000+ years old but in human years he’d be around 40 and Mc is around 25-30 years old. They’re old enough to make their own decisions and date whoever they want. Even getting manipulated by the future demon king.

He’s kind, attentive and so handsome. At first you told yourself he has to look after you, it’s his job. He’s the prince and you’re an exchange student, he can’t let you get hurt. But after a while you fell for him and he fell harder. He opened up to you and you opened up to him in more ways than one.

And you waited for him to finally ask you to be with him but that question never came. He kept you around, doing all the stuff with you that couples do only to tell you that he can’t be with you because of devildom law. Mind you, he confessed first…

Does anyone else get a little annoyed seeing people post things like "Ugh, [concept] would make a good story. Someone should make something with this idea!"

And it's like... You can do it yourself? You can write that story. You were creative enough to come up with that concept. What's stopping you from following through and doing something with that idea instead of pushing it on to randos online?

"Oh, I won't be able to write / draw it as well as someone else" Okay? And? You'll never be able to write / draw ANYTHING well if you don't try. Those other people who could do it better then you were in your exact situation where they had an idea with no idea how to execute it. They practiced to get good at it.

I think about Cerberus a lot so here's a bunch of random headcanons about hell's goodest boi

Cerberus' favorite spot to be pet is his ears. If you touch his tail or feet he will snarl at you. I also think he's a weird dog that doesn't like belly rubs (he tolerates them but they're not his fav)

He can shrink down to be a regular sized dog thanks to a spell taught to mc by Solomon. Mini cerberus requires 3 balls to be thrown at once during fetch so all three heads can be included

Cerberus has 3 dog bowls, one for each head. The left and right head will keep putting their heads in each other's bowls while the middle head understands which bowl is his and eats quietly

Cerberus regularly defies orders from Lucifer in order to be with mc. It's a regular occurance for mc and Lucifer to be woken up in the middle of the night by Cerberus squishing them with his three heads in search of ear scratches. His entire chin covers your lap and he knocks everything in the room over as he wags his tail. Lucifer woken up to doggy breath so bad he has thrown up from a few times, so Lucifer keeps a puke bucket under his bed lmao

One of Cerberus heads keeps chasing his tail. It annoys the other two to no end because their entire body will just run in circles for a while and the other two heads can't stop it.

Cerberus was a gift from the king to the queen. He was an anniversary present for Diavolo's mom :( After she passed, the king was too sad to be around Cerberus because all he did was sulk about his owner being gone. Diavolo's dad claims to have locked him away to protect something, but really, it was to get away from Cerberus. Eventually, the brothers found him, and Lucifer tamed him in Nightbringer. This just explains why Cerberus was alone in that cave for so long. Cerberus is extra clingy to mc because they remind him of the queen and now affectionate she was compared to the king

Cerberus is an old doggy with grey hairs. I think he'd be kinda slow moving most of the time because of arthritis + used to knocking things over with his big size so he's used to moving slowly to not accidentally knock stuff over. He will purposefully knock stuff over in Lucifer's room with his tail tho

Cerberus is smart and capable of being spiteful. Lucifer and mc get into an argument? Cerberus is chewing up all of his socks while Lucifer sleeps on the couch. Womp womp

Cerberus has been trained to bite people's DDD's and rip them out of people's hands if they try to take pictures of him

Cerberus only let's Lucifer, MC, and Beelzebub groom him

OH OKAY. okay i get it now. I've finally been sent the correct spoilers (shout out to my bestie, love you blues) for the context of everyone saying Barb hated his job, and I think people are misunderstanding/oversimplifying.

it's belphie talking, and belphie has a tendency to phrase things bluntly and harshly.

what he says is that Barbatos expressed discontent with having to do the duties of the first consul, a role which he'd previously been assuming; public speaking, standing in for the ruler as needed, helping manage the law and such. Barbatos very blatantly Does Not Like The Spotlight, and Does Not Want To Rule. I can VERY much see him hating those things specifically. The part of his job that was taking care of Dia (that he loved very much, said so repeatedly, and got upset when ever he was denied) was certainly stressful for him as well, but it's likely not being referred to in this specific interaction.

Barbatos kinda reminds me of the way animals ditch their offspring when they grow up. Like "Okay, you little shit, goodbye forever!" And like yeah, that's sad, but it's not deliberately cruel. If they don't ditch their babies, then they don't learn to survive and can't function independently, so they just die. That's Barbatos. He's leaving Diavolo to get him used to handling things on his own.

The new game confirms that Diavolo is about to ascend to the throne as king so... Did Diavolo's dad die? Is he about to die?

Diavolo has been *acting* as king for a very long time now while his dad was off doing fuck all (napping in the basement). I thought the only reason he didn't become king sooner was because his old man was still alive. It hasn't been explicitly stated (to my knowledge) that kings can retire / resign.

If Diavolo's dad is dead, then does that mean we'll never get to see what he looks like? I'm pretty sure this is the last obey me game Solmare is ever going to make because this game is supposed to be our "happily ever after". We're never going to see Michael. We're never going to meet Diavolo's dad. We're never going to learn the full story of Solomon. We might not ever get to really know 13 and Raphael. It's unlikely we'll see Mephistopheles full demon form sprite given that they couldn't be bothered to make a model for Diavolo.

It's so bittersweet to me >:(

The fact that Mammon & MC are both possessive but Mammon's the one who gets the most chances to act on that possessiveness is great! Because in a situation where they think the other is genuinely interested in someone else, the difference in the way they react becomes all the more hilarious

Mammon's quietly distancing himself. He's upset and heartbroken, but he won't get in the way if they're actually into someone else. He'll even be supportive and eventually he'll come back around to hanging out with them the way he always has because they're his best friend first (sure it might become a "you and me and your friend steve" situation to whichever poor fucker mc ends up dating)

The one scene where Mammon is playing a dating sim and is so invested in a character that is just like MC that he totally forgets MC is RIGHT THERE so MC gets pissed and splashes him with water to get his attention. The gaming council gets destroyed, and Mammon isn't even mad about it bc he'd rather have the real MC

getting back into the obey me fandom and it's genuinely a whiplash to play nightbringer and see that belphie hates lucifer. ummmm do the writers remember that belphie liked lucifer before the entire exchange program nonsense?????

this is like one of the early things you establish (I literally stopped at lesson 20 before going to nightbringer), what's going on

I think the writers just kinda forgot. A lot of the people who worked on the og game don't work with Solmare anymore so we have new writers that have different ideas with the characters / didnt bother to research the original stuff their new work is based off of. There's a lot of inconsistencies between games / series.

Idk all the characters have been flanderized to an extent, and the writers shit the bed with Lucifer and Belphie's dynamic. Belphie is supposed to still be super close to Lucifer in Nightbringer bc if he hated Lucifer, he wouldn't have fallen from the C.R with him to begin with. The writers forgot that Belphie hating Lucifer is recent

Belphie hated Lucifer for the following reasons:

-Spending all his time working with Diavolo instead of hanging out with him and the other brothers. Belphie felt neglected and forgotten. ESPECIALLY since in the nightbringer timeline it's been a year or less since Lilith died and the war happened. Belphie and the other brothers desperately need comfort from Lucifer to cope with their grief but instead they're being left to deal with it on their own

-Voting in favor of letting humans attend RAD because Belphie was blaming the humans for Lilith's death. This was seen as Lucifer being a traitor

-Locking him in the attic

-Lying to the other brothers about where he was

-Not telling the others that Lilith was reincarnated and lived a happy human life Belphie and Beel spent CENTURIES blaming themselves for her death and believing she was suffering and in pain in the afterlife, when really she was ALIVE

None of these things have happened in the current nightbringer timeline. Lucifer has only just now started to neglect his brothers in favor of working for Diavolo. RAD was literally just made and they don't open the human exchange program for another couple hundred years.

Right now we should see Belphie being super nice to Lucifer and trying to spend time with him only to be shut down bc Lucifer is busy with other things. They should depict Belphie going from accepting and understanding that Lucifer has new responsibilities, then shifting to sadness, then anger.

I think this would be good fuel for Belphie and Satan's relationship.

My headcanon on how Satan and Belphie's relationship SHOULD HAVE BEEN:

It starts as Belphie trying to treat Satan as a replacement Lucifer because he needs Lucifer's reassurance to deal with his grief, but Lucifer is busy. Then Satan lashes out when he realizes that Belphie is just using him as a Lucifer 2.0. Then Belphie realizes his mistake and finally sees Satan as a new person and not a clone. THEN Belphie realizes how Lucifer ditching him has not only hurt him but also made Belphie hurt Satan. Belphie and Satan make amends, and the two decide to just hate Lucifer together, creating the anti lucifer league.

It'd be very in character for Belphie to blame Lucifer for the way he hurt Satan because Belphie blames humans for Lilith's death to try and alleviate his own guilt, not because he actually thinks it's their fault

At first the anti lucifer league is made out of genuine malice and spite towards lucifer but over time the two of them kinda forgive him so it becomes more of a lighthearted "younger brothers fucking with their older brother for fun" club

🌺✨️👼 My version of Lilith 👼✨️🌺

I wanted to illustrate my version of how I believed Lilith looked like. I have so many headcanons about her!, like: she had purple accents, and her color inspired Belphie; her eyes' color is green like Satan, her outfit is inspired in Asmo's angel outfit, and I also imagined her with dark, long, beautiful curly hair and a dark skin color like Simeon (we need more brown characters). Finally, I drew lilies in her because I think it goes so well with her name.
