How have you found the work/life balance? I know it must be difficult with your newborn being too young to fly commercially. Do you miss being able to be near her when you have to film?

Well, I haven’t gone back to filming yet, that’s coming next week. But, when I go back, Leia will be coming with us. We’ve double checked with our pediatrician, and she’s cleared the little one fly, we’ll be thinking about it. But, we also don’t mind taking a drive either. But, we’ll decide pretty soon about how to get back to set with a toddler and a newborn!

I think everyone just wanted an excuse to shove pie in their faces all day long yesterday. What new flavor did you find yesterday? I’m glad that the show was picked up for another season, congratulations!

Well, they succeeded, I’m sure! And, plenty of it; meat pies, dessert pies, fruit pies, like the list is endless. It was a chocolatey flavor, with some cookies and wafer. It was pretty divine. Thanks, we’re so excited about the new stories coming next year!

It sounds feasible, I think? I mean, I’m from Chicago, so I was pretty much raised on pizza! I’ve been right here, and in New York, and in Vancouver, and pretty much everywhere else! I feel like we’ve had a lot of crossed paths, but only now, we’re getting to hang out a little. I feel like I totally need to nap everyday with a newborn.

what was it like working as a producer of glee for a bit?

I actually didn’t do any work on the show. My role in Glee was literally getting the script to Ryan Murphy. I helped it to find its way onto its feet, but that’s about all.

Thank you tons! Huh, that’s weird, I would’ve expected there to be masses of people rushing here all the time, it’s lovely here. I was looking to do some little projects and settle down in a place much more relaxing than New York, so I think I hit the jackpot here. That’s exactly what I was thinking though, I try to treat myself a little here and there (and by that, I mean all the time.)

You’d expect that, right? But, I mean, the town’s been more crowded before, but I guess that goes with the weather. Some people move out here in the Spring to avoid the West Coast heat, some leave to avoid the East Coast Winter’s. Just depends. Hey, it’s totally allowed, I’m not judging in the slightest!

do you think it's safe to post pictures of your baby's face to your social media where thousands of people can see? most celebs try and keep their kids' faces private.

To be honest, we did talk about that. And, we decided that we’d rather pictures come from us, than from fans who’ve managed to sneak shots against our will and posted them online. Sure, some ‘celebrities’ (I use that term loosely, because neither Colin and I deem ourselves as all that famous or of that status) keep their kids’ faces hidden, and Colin’s done that with his son, Evan. And, that was a mutual choice made during his marriage.

I don’t mind the flights but I’m definitely becoming a bit of a homebody. Don’t get me wrong, I love to travel. I just hate when I can’t take Bradley or the cats with me. I’m still a newlywed so spice is definitely not a problem but you definitely do have to keep the romance alive. I’m pretty sure we’re always going to do little things to make sure we know each other’s importance. Yeah, Lola, Arthur and Ziggy are definitely James kids.

Leaving behind the loved one’s is never that easy to do, but at often times, essential. Besides, you guys, there’s FaceTime and Skype. I know it’s not the same, but it can suffice for a few days or weeks at a time, huh? You wouldn’t think about taking them all with you? I mean, I hate leaving Ava behind, but she’s small so it’s easy to take her up to Vancouver when I can. Ziggy James, I can’t, that’s too cool!

What has changed the most in your life since becoming a mother?

I now have lack of sleep? No, I’m totally kidding! Everyone says the same thing, and it’s true; motherhood certainly changes you. You’ve got this tiny human who’s solely dependent on your care. You become so much more aware of your surroundings, what you’re eating, your actions, everything. Every choice you make will have some effect on your child in some way. I think you gain this new sensibility, and for many women it defines them, as who they are. You could have the most sought after job or be doing what you love to do, but nothing compares to that joy of holding your child in arms.

 I saw a video on YouTube a while back, about a fake Skype interview. There were all of these candidates interviewing for just one position, they all wanted it, until the employer told them it was a 24hr job, with zero salary. By the end of the video, this employer had reeled off this endless list of itemized jobs that needed filling, and then revealed that that is everything a mother does, unconditionally. It’s such a selfless transition and I don’t think people realize how there is nothing like a mother’s love for her child. I definitely feel that already.

He does listen a lot to the fans, and the fans are really serious about what they want. I’ve sort of learned that the hard way, but the man knows what he’s doing. And then sometimes certain things just have to happen, plot-wise. It was pretty cool! I mean, we sort of didn’t have much of a choice at that point because I had already said yes to Broadway. He knows how to work around things. Mhmm. And yes! You will, as if you don’t already get enough of me, haha.

He really does, it’s great. I mean, sometimes writers ask their fans about things they want, but inevitably, they don’t deliver what they want to see. But, like I said, that’s often quite difficult to satisfy everyone’s wishes with the show. Yeah, you guys owned TV while Glee was running, it was pretty incredible! But, we love seeing you around!

Who are you closest friends in town that aren't related to or dating you?

Well, there’s Karen, I’ve known that crazy Scot for a few years now and we’ve had a fair few adventures together, she’s also Leia’s godmother. Other than Kaz, I’d say Delta, we’ve had a good few conversations and we definitely see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, plus she’s super cool!

you seem to REALLY want a friendship with Seb. he's your ex, why not just let it go?

Sebastian and I ended things basically because we drifted apart, nothing bad happened, there were no other people involved. We just had too busy schedules, and trying to make things work, wasn’t happening for us. But, we stayed on good terms, and then when he arrived here, I thought it would be nice to reconnect, see how he was doing and catch up. I didn’t even realize that he may not have wanted that. We’ve had some bumps in the road, but with some space, I’m sure things’ll blow over in time. Sebastian meant a lot to me, and he still does, I still consider him a dear friend, and I hope he realizes that I don’t want to hurt him or want more than a friendship.

Happy Pi day baby, it feels like we’re in the cool club of life having lived through it though everyone currently on each has too, some people will have been born on it too. I think a pie night would be great meat pies for dinner then apple pie for dessert pies all around. What ice cream flavour could that be darling? We were very lucky to get picked up so quickly, no waiting no knowing this year, it’s been a good season. Six season is pretty great and i’ll have been about for five feels pretty great.

Oh, for sure, and even more so with having our kids in on that club too. Yeah, could you imagine being able to say that you were born on Pi Day?! That would be pretty cool. Pie night is a must, wait, meat pies? Like chicken or beef? And no, come on, the pie you want is a cherry pie! You know me and ice cream; chocolate wafer and Oreo! I’m sorry I didn’t save you any! Yes, Comic Con and Paris will be rather fun this summer!

How old is she? I’m not sure if people brought kids I don’t think there were that many. That will for sure be a lot of fun!

She’s just six weeks now, so far too young to bring to a beach party, I’d say. But, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of opportunity in the coming months for beach times. But, how was the party, anything fun happen?

I’m never been very keen of math, but I still think it’s pretty cool anyway! Especially if it gives me a reason to eat pie. What’s the flavor? Once Upon A Time got renewed? That’s amazing! I’m so happy for you and the rest of the cast. I’m sure season six is going to be awesome.

Same here really, but I know Colin’s a huge geek when it comes to things like that, so I thought it was safe to at least mention it. But hey, all the more reason to have pie! Nuh uh, I’m not sharing that, let’s just say it’s a chocolatey flavor and leave it at that! Yeah, thank you, we’re all pretty stoked about that!

But if you are accepting of his clingyness then by all means go ahead because he really does love you. But, he also doesn’t need feeding at 3am, and again at five... So, yeah, I’m going to give him to you when I’m tired.” she gave a light giggle. The blonde bit her lip softly, “You know I’m funny!” she nudged him in the side before she nodded, “You want that already? I mean, it’s not that I don’t, I just... we only just got engaged, and with Leia, and the show...” Jennifer trailed off, “You don’t think it’s too fast?” she tilted her head with a cocked brow.
