Jesse: I can assure you though, that from the bottom of my heart, I love Quinn. I know you're her friend, but you're my friend, too. So you kind of have to believe me. "Bro code" or whatever fiendish, youth-oriented thing bonds you to doing what you should be doing anyway.
Jesse: But since you're so worried about it, I promise to you that nothing will happen to the company. My problem is valuing business more than relationships, not the other way around. Put some faith in me, Clarington.
Jesse: I will not break Quinn's heart. You will not lose your job. Rachel will probably keep going on lunch dates with Sam or whatever. Understood?

Yeah, well, it’s whatever. I have to deal with him at work but I don’t have to deal with him afterwards.
Is he harassing you about posting publically again? He does that all the time. That’s not anything against you, he does it to me, too.
ST FABRAY || PARA: Some Kind of Reaction
“Incredible. You’ll never get out of the monotonous suburbs now. Might as well get you your hawaiian tourist shirt and flip flops. Maybe even a grill for your Sunday neighborhood barbecues.” Quinn shook her head even as her lips tugged into an easy grin.
The waitress chose that moment to swoop in, overly enthusiastic smile and a jitter in her step that suggested she was new. Quinn smoothly gave her her drink order, a water with lime and a Bellini, feeling like she deserved a little drink with her date. Her gaze redirected itself to Jesse, her hands still lay unmoved on top of the menu. She was in no rush.
“I’ll sit and watch the barbecue from my balcony. There will be giggles. And when you’ve had enough of the moms and dads showing you a million pictures of their babies, shoot me the bat signal and I’ll come save you.”
Jesse had been about to volley back into the hypothetical of him as a laid back suburb dad and retiree when the waitress came by. As Quinn rattled off her drink order quickly and confidently, he hesitated to make a decision on his own drink. He was a poised man in general, but something about Quinn being even more so slowed him down. He always needed a moment of awe for how undoubting and unapologetic she was. It was, quite frankly, one of the most amazing things he got to watch.
Moments later, he ordered a scotch with a quirked up smirk aimed toward Quinn. “No, I don’t need to be saved. That sounds spectacular. Does that mean I can start playing my Jimmy Buffet albums in public? I want to out my inner-Parrothead.”
If the Crown Fits || St. Berry
Rachel couldn’t remember the last time she left work at 5 o’clock. It wasn’t something she did normally. Especially since most of her work got done once everyone else was gone. It allowed Rachel to focus without constantly having someone behind her shoulder or lately asking what else she needed help with. She knew that the other interns didn’t mean to be as bad as they were but it was slightly obnoxious and adding even more to Rachel’s day. Her job wasn’t exactly one where she could sit behind her desk all day. It was filled with calls and meetings and dealing with obnoxious clients that wanted the world.
There was no doubt that the thought of going out for a bit with Jesse seemed pretty exciting. She hadn’t gone out in a long time and even though her lunch with Sam was good, she enjoyed spending her time with Jesse. He seemed to understand her a lot more then most around the office and her need for perfection. It also didn’t hurt that he was constantly complimenting her and making her smile. If he wasn’t with Quinn she probably would of made a move by now but Rachel valued her job too much for that. Plus, that wasn’t the kind of person she was either.
Rachel grabbed her jacket and purse before making her way to Jesse’s office. She knocked softly before walking inside and smiling. “Are you ready for our adventure?” Rachel ran her fingers through her hair and continued smiling. She had no idea what they were going to do for sure but Rachel was sure they would have a good time doing it. Although her life revolved around her job, Rachel certainly didn’t mind a little bit of a break, even if it was just for the night.
Jesse’s head shot up, eyes flickering from an intense glare on the harmful brightness of the computer screen to a much softer gaze at his company for the evening. It was Rachel with her bright eyes and wide smile, and suddenly Jesse’s eyes didn’t hurt so damn much. The concentrated look that had graced his face has smoothed out into a grin as dopily happy as hers. He never left the office before 5; he had a pillow and a blanket in his office, for crying out loud. Probably used more often than what he had at home in his apartment. If anyone could get him to work an only eight hour workday, it was Rachel. She illuminated the room enough that Jesse could sort of forget he wasn’t slaving away at his desk.
“Adventure,” he repeated with a laugh. “I thought we talked about my adventure skills.” He started to save his documents and gather his things, because part of him had been assuming Rachel wasn’t going to show up at all. At a long lunch with Sam or something. Boy, was he glad to be wrong. “Jesse St. Fun can only handle so much at a time. Maybe just a venture today, and we’ll try adding in the prefix later.” Still chuckling to himself at his own admittedly not funny jokes, he stood from his desk and started to put on his coat. “But yes, disregarding semantics, I’m ready to go. Even if it feels weird to leave right now.”

Hunter: Are you PMSing? I was just kidding, you know how I love to make you cry in your pillow at night.
Jesse: Well it's only fair if you're fucking my girlfriend. You have to be a gentleman about that kind of thing.
Jesse: I'm always crying over you, Hunt. Some beauty just can't be sheathed.
Jesse: Your intern disgusts me and you don't like Kitty. So, we're even.

Hunter: Craughing, you poor bastard. Forget it, I don't want a girlfriend if it will turn me into you.
Hunter: Don't make promises you can't keep. All that being said, Bas may burn my underwear but he also helps to get me laid on a more regular basis than I suspect you do, so there's that.
Hunter: Nah, I don't think about her long enough to hate her. But she turns out to be what I suspect, maybe? Then what will you do in that dear diary moment? Who's it gonna be, me or your new hag, bruh?
Jesse: What do you mean I don't help you get laid? You're sleeping with my girlfriend, aren't you? That's the ultimate token of friendship. Plus, I don't ogle you. That much.
Jesse: Don't make me choose, you girl. I already hate enough of our coworkers as is. Don't make me pick a fight with the only intern I like.
