I'm Joe Kittridge and I love drawing, painting, model making and generally all kinds of creative stuff. I graduated from Hereford College of Art studying BA Illustration what seems like a while ago now. This is a place for rough ideas, things I'm proud of and maybe a little feedback. Just a rough idea for a series of comics based on true stories. This one involves me but I'll eventually branch out and use other peoples as well. "Breakfast in Bugs" This one is of a time I made breakfast in bed for a girlfriend and wanted to jazz up the presentation a bit. I picked a few flowers from the garden and put them in a shot glass. Just before I got to open the bedroom room door I looked down and realised the flowers had erupted with insects . Knowing that if she'd seen it I'd have to make it from scratch, I quickly snuck back to the kitchen to pick them all off the tray.

Quick observational pen sketch of some train people. It’s nice when a group of people are all clumped together and are on the train for more than four stops. Means more drawing time. Trying to put a bit of colour on it with photoshop but the bottom right corner is a bit to scraggly.

It's been a long time since I was last on the old tumblr but I'm back. I haven't stopped making art stuff so keep your eyes peeled! This just a little comic of coming back from the tumblr dead.

Demonic Mechanic.

Five separate A4 sketchbook scans of what I'm working on at the moment. The plus side to working like this is the amount of detail you can cram in, the down side however, is that you don't really know what it will look like until you fit it all together.

Heres a black and white version of what I'm currently colouring. I have to say that its pretty damn intricate compared my other illustrations, but I'm having alot of fun with it on photoshop. It'll get there in the end with any luck.

I cant leave this character alone! I wasn't happy with the last one so this time I thought I'd add some environmental stuff. It still needs some work and I may still add details, but shes getting there. Still not really sure where I'm going with it.

Here are a few colour variants of my demonic mechanic as well as a black and white version. I'm still not quite happy with it yet but I like the concept. I'll still have a play about with colour but it still needs something more. Either some randomness around the edges or just to redraw the thing again. Its still a major work in process but I'll get there.
