This isn’t a spoiler, more like a general observation. I do think it’s weird that we don’t have multiple dialogue options anymore. Like Nancy used to be able to say a couple of things and get different reactions, so almost every play through felt different. I really miss that, the dialogue now feels more like a visual novel that you’re just clicking through

If I had 2 wishes for KEY:

Start the game at Nancy’s desk and make me click on the plane ticket. Give me a case file, maybe even a How To Be A Detective book. Bonus if I get a scrapbook and a light I can flick on and off while I procrastinate starting the game for no clear reason.

Let me call my phone friends whenever I want, even if it’s just to say “Hi!” and “Bye!” Bonus if I get to hear slice of life snippets when I call and then immediately hang up like a weirdo.

I wanted to capture some tesserae and their associated phrases for VEN, there’s just something mesmerizing about them. The brilliance and variation in each tile was a lot of fun to do, and I kept the natural elements by using an unbleached cotton for the base. This turned out to be way more ambitious than I had anticipated, but I think it paid off!!

i love that with this new Unity engine HeR is able to take us players on adventures to mysterious and unique locations that we wouldn't be able to experience in our real lives, like a kitchen or an Apple store.
