I've been Instagram MIA for about 6 mIs and almost ready to come back. For my friends and followers on Facebook, you've seen a little bit more of the day-to-day stuff recently. 2018 proved to be one of the harder years for me to push through with more than my fair share of family drama, toxic relationships, major reset with home life, work, and putting distance between myself and loved ones. I'm not completely back up on my 2 feet yet, but I'll be there soon. 2019 will definitely have to be full of deliberate/uphill steps in the right direction. I provided for others to a fault, and just like this picture, was pouring from an empty cup. There are people that I've been supporting for years, people that took advantage of my generosity and my reclaimed energy from 2016 and 2017. Equally I am at fault, because I let it happen. I knew it was happening, hindsight is 20/20. I just didn't expect some of the things that played out the way they did. I have put a stop to the negative energy drain, the co-dependent relationships that I had with loved ones. I said "enough was enough", and literally packed my stuff and left to get away from the lies and secrets. I've had a complete reset both for better and for worse, do I regret decisions that I've made, "no", #LessonLearned! There definitely was anger and frustration, because it felt like I was starting over again and I had wasted the last 10yrs of my adult life when I moved here to SA. But I'm still here! I finally took some advice, cashed in some of my good karma points, and called in a couple of favors. I felt vulnerable for sure. I had never been in such an unstable situation. I prided myself on my control of my situation and very deliberate decision making over the years. Hence how I was able to support myself and others for so many years. But I have underestimated the #FamilyOfChoice that I had built over the last few years. The most amazing people unexpectedly stepped into my circle and took an active roll and some of the life decisions that I needed to make for myself again. I can't thank them enough...I'm in a better place now.
