For Johnica Week, day 3: Arranged Marriage

Early 1900s, John Deacon's time to get married has come, and his mother accepted the offer of a local Polish family, their oldest daughter Veronica.

Sadly, neither John nor Veronica are ready to get married, and while he gets immediately struck by her, she doesn't seem to accept her fate yet.

My 3rd and last fic for Johnica week 🥰💕 I'm usually not a fan of arranged marriages but inspiration struck suddenly and I had a blast writing this 🥺 It has the first person POVs alternating between John and Veronica, I hope you'll like this fic even if it's so unusual for me! 🙏🏻✨️💕💕💕

Johnica week 2023 • Day 3: Victorian AU/mistery 💕

For this entry I wanted to try and replicate the vibes of an old illustration from a book, and imagine Deaky and Veronica as a couple of mistery enthusiasts! They'd be avid readers and lovers of all kind of detective stories 🥰 John would be the analytical type, very pragmatic and realist, while Veronica would love to find a twist or different ways to look at the clues. I had a lot of fun drawing this despite also having to rush so I apologise if it's not perfect. I hope you'll like it anyway 💕💜💖💕💜💕

Trying a different style and to make something that would look like a children book's illustration for this prompt has been a very cute experiment 🥰💕 John and Veronica had found an adorable pop-up book for Robert, which features singing frogs! As young parents they're absolutely thrilled about it 🎶💜💕💖💜💕💖

My entry into Johnica Week 2023, “Those Crazy Notions”, is here! This is a oneshot fic based on the prompt “Selecting a Book for the Children”.

November 1985: John and Veronica are enjoying a romantic evening at home despite their recent marital strife. Their intimate time is interrupted by a sick Laura, whom they discover has a rather…unusual attachment to her books.

⚠️Content Warning: There are several mentions of vomit and the act of vomiting in this fic, though I tried not to be too graphic. If you’re squeamish consider yourself warned.

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a nice January and a good start to the new year, and it’s time for one of my favourite times of the year, Johnica Week, hosted by the lovely @eileen-crys! This is my third time contributing to this lovely celebration and I hope you’ll all like this fic, it’s based on the Detective AU prompts and is inspired by this radio show called Dangerously Yours that aired back in the 40’s, and the episode this is based off is quite famous and infamously has a sad ending, will that happen in this fic? You’ll have to see! As always, my writing is completely fictional and none of this is to be taken as fact, and if you’d like to be tagged, please let me know so you know when I post a new fic! Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

I wanted to make an 80s version of this artwork I made a couple of years ago and I chose a photo from The Works, changing their outfits a bit 💕 You have no idea of how much I rushed to make this drawing and in fact I don't really like it but I hope you do- 😅🥺🙏🏻

It's been a weird year and I can't say it's been exactly stellar but it still gave me lovely moments and I think the Q+AL concert is still my favourite thing 🥰 I look forward to the next year, hopefully I'll find my place in the world. I was obviously inspired by the videos shot in Roger's garden where they're all freezing and shivering, John's red nose is so cute 🥺 but I also wanted to give him some warmth hahah 🫂💜💖💕💖💜 What's in that mug? Hot tea? Coffee? Cocoa... or mulled wine? Who prepared it for him? 🥰
