Restaurant Rendezvous|Johnnie

“My friends are kinda tired of it so I’m trying,” she explained, shrugging a bit to try and seem less worried, “But I always try and it never works for that long.” Corinne smiled widely at Johnnie, “You’re my kind of girl, breakfast food is amazing at any time of day. Maybe ‘cause it has both sweet and savoury things in equal amounts.” As the Johnnie ordered, Corinne’s eyes widened, adding the prices in her head. She had spent a lot already since she got back but quickly recovered from her freak out, turning her expression into one of amusement. “I think that will be enough for now, I’d like a coffee and sparkling water as well, please.” Smiling as the waitress left, she turned back to Johnnie, “I don’t think I can eat that much to be honest but I’ll try. So tell me, how was your week?”
“Some people are just late people, the world just has to get used to waiting for them,” she grinned widely, “and I have the patience of a saint.” Johnnie leaned back, running her hands through her hair to hide the light pink flush spreading across the bridge of her nose. “Breakfast food is the best because it works as any meal. Is it five am or five pm? I don’t know but I’m going to have pancakes.” She laughed. Johnnie couldn’t help but be amused by Corinne’s widening eyes as she ordered a variety of pancakes. “Are you sure you don’t want anything else? Waffles? Eggs?” She gestured at the menu before ordering a hot chocolate to finish, and turned back to Corinne. “Don’t worry, I can finish anything you don’t,” Johnnie retorted confidently. “Well, the week was pretty boring, haven’t really done anything in classes, but I swear, my upstairs neighbor has bricks for shoes, keeps waking me up in the middle of the night. How about you?”
