This whole scene with the Conductor Ballador really hit hard. The country has fallen, and he was mostly forgotten. Bed ridden, chronically ill unable to leave. His melody, his song... made me tear up. I decided to paint it. I actually locked in and did something I'm very proud of.

A flurry of games from 2011 to 2013, with the Olympics and a Stanley Win for Illya

The episode starts by flashing through Shane and Illya hooking up after games from 2011 to 2013, with Shane usually shown in his blue Metros home game jersey and Illya usually in his white Raiders away/road game jersey

The locker room scenes do offer good reference shots for what they wear under the jerseys - while Illya wears Sherwood branded pads Shane is wearing CCM

Not a jersey, but I had to show the Olympics jackets. While Scott Hunter and Carter Vaughn's USA jackets are sharp, they can't compete with Shane's Team Canada sherpa zip up. Unfortunately there is not shot of Illy'a Team Russia uniform (unless I missed it, please let me know!)

Last game of the ep is the 2014 Stanley Cup, showing Illya and the other Boston Raiders in the black home jersey.

Shane Hollander is such an awesome fucking character. I forgot what it’s like when you have a character that’s just sooo fun to play dolls with. What if you had a guy who’s deeply closeted and made up a billion rules for himself and compartmentalized every aspect of his personality and tried to be everything and everyone others expect him to be and hides his real self away even from himself but also doesn’t want to seem like he’s hiding so he’s always doing some insane tightrope balancing between being the most neurotic man on earth and trying to seem Chill. And then there’s a second guy who’s just like god I’m obsessed with whatever’s wrong with him. Fucking rules
