Pyro jumps, turning around
“oh, hey! I’m fine, yeah, just still a bit- tired”
"Do you need anything, man?"
She comes over, worried.
Nah man, it’s all good. I’ve got a crazy migraine but it’ll pass.
They smile, slightly pained
“Gotta cut back on the caffeine”
"Shit... I, uh... I couldn't sleep. Wanna just... Hang out?"
“Yeah I’m down. There’s some couches in the common room? Im afraid my rooms kinda smoky”
"I mean sure, but we could always just get high in your room, yeah?"
Jojo teases, trying to find comfort in his familiarity.
“Yeah, sure. Can’t really make the place any worse, huh?” He jokes, pulling her inside and shutting the door
She laughs, and once they're within the mana veil, she pulls out the weed and papers, beginning to roll two blunts.
"We deserve to hotbox this place, honestly. I've missed smoking with you!! You're always so silly."
She smiles warmly at Pyro.
"And, to be honest, I miss it. We haven't had a moment to decompress here. Think this was way overdue."
“Yeah no shit”
Pyro sits down, patting the spot beside him
“I’ve missed just…talking to you.”
"Same... So much is going on, y'know? We both need a break tonight."
Jojo sits next to Pyro, holding out a blunt to him.
He lights it quickly—thank goodness for fire magic
“Yeah, let’s try and forget about the corruption for a bit shall we?”
"Yeah, for sure!!"
She holds her own joint out to them, asking Pyro to light it.
"Dude... Do you know what having a crush feels like?"
Pyro lights it before taking a draw from their own
“Yeah but I can’t describe it. It’s…nice.”
They glance in her direction and blush a little
"...You have one?"
She leans her head on his shoulder, just enjoying the warmth as they smoke.
"Because... I think I do. I'm not totally sure, but... I mean, chances are."
He takes a minute to respond, nervous
“Yeah. I think so, not that they’ll…feel the same”
"...Why not? You're literally one of the coolest people I've ever met. Why wouldn't they feel the same?"
“Even if I’m a bit cool they’re just on another level entirely. They’re just so funny and kind and…”
He sighs, leaning against her more fully
“Just, too good for me”
She takes a long drag before sighing.
"I... I hope they like you back. You deserve to be loved."
She nuzzles into him.
"Besides... Anyone who's attracted to men can see that you're so handsome, kind, funny... If I loved you, there'd... definitely be signs."
Jojo whispers, clearly speaking from experience.
Pyro is silent for another second. “Jojo I…forgive me if I’m reading this incorrectly. Do you like me?”
They wrap an arm around her waist, loosely drawing her into a hug.
"...Would you be mad if I was?"
She whispers, letting him pull her closer. Through her high, she feels her face warm as they pull her closer.
Pyro leans over until their faces nearly touch
“No.”
"Can... I do something crazy?"
Her eyes shine with love and desperation, clinging to them.
Pyro begins to exude heat again
“Yeah, go ahead”
Jojo, without anymore hesitation, kisses Pyro, needy and desperate.
The mix of the weed and their heightened emotions, she refuses to pull away, nearly climbing into his lap.
Pyro complies happily, kissing her deeply and until he absolutely has to pull away for breath. Even then he holds onto her, as tight as he possibly could.
"Hey, so uh... I've wanted to do that for so long. I've really liked you... Even when I didn't know how I felt... Or could put it into words."
The words only bring more joy to the hazy-minded man. He chuckles, pecking her lips again.
“And I thought I was the only one. Honestly, I was never planning on making a move. For stupid reasons of course.”
"Gotta... Gotta tell me later, yeah? Right now, I want kisses and cuddles."
Jojo teases, nuzzling into Pyro, giddy.
