hi those "unpopular deadlock opinions" posts on twt are lowkey getting annoying 😭 i feel as though characterizations in-game are ambiguous enough for the fandom to have different interpretations of the roster. you can ABSOLUTELY still mischaracrerize someone (making mina too kind, ignoring lash's underlying insecurities, making doorman an "uwu tumblr man"), i'm not saying you can't. it kind of just feels like some of those posts don't want to see characters explored in different ways idk. play deadlock

i have a deadlock au (just my headcanons lowk, also is completely centered around mina, drifter and doorman) where everything is the same but there's a canon divergence after mina gets turned. all this to say drifter takes mina under his wing (reluctantly, he's still battling with his humanity, in my world 🖤) and shenanigans happen. i love playing dolls

driftdoor thoughts. them being crazy together foreverrrr ago until doorman got bored and wanted to start seeing humans in a different light, drifter taking that as a "oh so we're done" sort of thing. drifter being bitter but still stupidly attached, doorman being like "omg!!! my fav stray dog is in town yay!!!" every so often. doorman lowkey feeling some type of way when drifter doesn't come see the baroness/him for years on end. them bringing out the humanity (at least its ugly side) in one another (pisses drifter off more than he can comprehend, frustrates doorman to no end). toxic weirdos with a messy relationship i am eating them

this is driftdoor to me but in an even more convoluted way. exes that are still exclusive because they are that insane about the other. doorman being really unapproachable if he thinks drifter is (very rarely) being kind to another person. drifter who is so far up his own ass that he's still in denial about doorman. i can imagine anything. i am insane

i like drawing drifter with long ass fangs (compared to mina who, although they are still very noticeable, has tiny baby fangs) and frowning and with a key on his cap belt (driftdoor frontlines). i want to put that crazy motherfucker in a situation
