Hello my clowns friends!! Since it's October and Halloween month, I had the ideia of writing this fanfic about the reader and Arthur speadin
Some weeks ago you and Arthur had decided to go out as creepy clowns for Halloween, it would be a really diffirent experience for both of you. You both still had to look for a costume and decide how your make ups would be, and speaking of the make up, you two had never done a different make up from your character's at Haha's, so you still had to create a new and scary one. You two decided to go out to try to find nice costumes today after work.
You and him were on your way Downtown.
"Do you think we'll find costumes?" he asks you
You answer "Yeah I think we'll find something, it doesn't even need to be a Halloween costume, we can buy anything that will match our make ups. I know we haven't created our make ups yet, but we can get inspiration when we see a clothing... Let's just see what we find and think of something creative!"
"Okay! I actually know a place where we can find cool Halloween costume. It's a store where they sell costumes and party stuff"
When you two were getting close to this store that Arthur told you about, it was already possible to see a Halloween decoration. There were fake spiders, pumpkins... stuff like that.
You say "I'm already seeing many Halloween things from here, I think we came to the right place!"
When you two were in front of the store you could see how many things they had. Also, the variety. They had everything related to costumes, holidays, parties...
One seller comes and asks you: "Hey, can I help you find anything today?"
You answer: "yeah! We're looking for Halloween costumes, nothing specific, we'll see all of them"
"Of course! The Halloween related items are here!" the seller answers after heading you and Arthur to the place where the costumes were and then he leaves.
The costumes were so beautiful, some of them might be too expensive, but wow, the variety was huge!
You two started looking all of them one by one, thinking about the make up you could wear with each of them, until you find one that you LOVED. It was a red and white dress with black diamonds on it, and it made you think of a make up.
"Arthur! Look at this one, I love it! And it gave me a nice idea of make up!"
"You would look really beautiful wearing this dress, I really like it too! I still haven't found anything nice to me tho" he answers.
"Oh don't worry, we'll find something! Do you know any other stores? Maybe you don't find anything you like here but you do at somewhere else"
"So I can buy my dress here and we go somewhere else to find you something"
You pay your dress and you two leave, time to go somewhere else. You didn't know where you two were going, Arthur just wanted to keep walking until any of you saw a interesting store, but he had a place in mind too. Then, he sees it.
"Look Y/N, that's the place I was talking about, then don't seem to have many Halloween items, but they have a lot of clown and party stuff, I think I might find something there" he tells you.
"It seems a good place to find you a costume, let's go there!"
Inside the stores there were many colorful suits, clown stuff, party stuff, costumes, you two felt like there would be something really cool there just waiting for Arthur. Or maybe not, maybe you'd had to go to a third place, maybe even more places until find the right one.
You two looked around, trying to find something. After looking all around the store he says:
"Nope, I don't think I'll find something here.. I don't even know what I'm looking for actually, I don't know even know if I'm gonna have a cool make up idea... I'm not sure what to do"
"Don't worry Arthur, you're creative and great at clown make up, you'll think of something! Try to think of the color of the make up right now. I'm not sure how my make up will look like exactly, but I had some ideas inspired by the color of the dress I picked. I think you just have to find a costume that gives you some inspiration or to think of the colors you want the make up to be and then you just buy a costume of the same color of the make up you wanna do"
"Okay... But I really don't know what to do about the make up"
"Something will come to your mind, don't worry. Until that happen, let's keep looking."
You kept looking for something, then you realized he was staring at something
"What is it, Arthur?" you ask
"Do you see that clown mask? I think I'm having a make up idea."
"See? I told you you'd come up with something! Now you just need to find something that matches the make up you have in mind!"
"Wait..." he says. Then he goes near some colorful suits.
"What if I wore a suit that was the same color as my make up? What do you think? Is it too basic or-"
"It's great! I think it'll look great!"
"Okay so.. I think I'll wear a red suit and... A blue shirt or vest... Maybe a white vest and a blue shirt"
You picture it and says: "I love it!"
You two look around again, and they did had the clothing Arthur was thinking of.
After buying the clothes, you two leave the store.
"The only clown make up I would wear was Carnival's make up, I'm excited to do something different" he tells you when you were walking on the sidewalk after leaving the store with the bags"
"Do you wanna do a make up test tonight?"
At night both of you start the make up test in front I'd the miroor. Any of you knew what exactly to do, the beggining was easy, to paint your face white. But what about the drawings? You just forgot about them and focused on the white part.
After your faces were white, it was the moment to think.
"I think my drawings will kinda look like Carnival's make you if you don't mind haha" you say
He answers: "No problem baby. Do it however you want. Speaking of Carnival, I can't think or anything different from his make up, everything can think about is the red smile and blue triangles"
"Well... You could do something similar but different, scarier maybe. You could paint something blue around your eyes but not triangles, and maybe you could do a red smile but in a different way? Maybe different size or format? Just... Start drawing what comes to your mind, if you don't like it, wipe it off and do something differently. Sometimes one bad idea makes us think of a new and good one.
You both start doing the drawings.
After some time of thinking, applying make up and wiping it off many times, your make ups were being created.
"What do you think?" you ask him looking at him
He looks at you, seeming impressed.
You smile. Your cheeks would probably turn red if it wasn't for you make up.
You answer "Thanks", kinda shy and really happy.
You look at his make up, he had drawn some blue lines around his eyes, and red lines around his mouth to make a different smile.
"I really like how yours is turning out, I knew you'd come up with something creative!" you say
"Do you really like it? I think it's the best I could do"
"Of course I do! You look great!"
That's it, your make ups were created. The creepy clowns from Gotham City.
