   Finally! After about 2 years of searching, the full (audio) bootleg of this show has been found! Due to being a flop, (only lasting 5 performances on Broadway, not including previews) this show has been swept under the rug and forgotten about, only remembered by a small handful of people.     But, an audio bootleg of a Broadway performance from October 1986 managed to survive, and now we can listen to the, sadly censored version, of the show in its entirety!    If you love obscure, partially lost 80′s media, I highly suggest giving this a listen!

I'm just mad that Helga still acted like she didn't like him at the end.

She’s just still uncomfortable with expressing emotions in public without getting angry. She still has some issues left to handle. At least Arnold knows for sure that there is another meaning behind her anger.

The trauma Helga has been through isn’t something that would just disappear that quickly, Anon. Personally, I would have been angry if she had walked hand in hand with Arnold with NO problem whatsoever because it would be like undermining the anxiety and pain she’s had up til this point.

I’m sure if we get a sixth season (please please please) this will probably be a subject in one or maybe several episodes. Because Arnold would be patient, but he also doesn’t know the extent of Helga’s emotional abuse. So that has potential for some deep, heartwarming episodes :)

That’s what I’m EXPECTING to happen to be honest.

I can’t say what Craig Bartlett is thinking nor what he would actually do about this, but knowing him and the fact that he isn’t afraid of handling deep topics, I think that’s exactly what would happen.

We’d see a few episodes maybe of Helga mostly acting exactly how she used to, with the exception of a few rare moments. Then we’d reach an episode where Arnold would get envious of the way Phoebe and Gerald are together and would at some point, despite his patient nature, tell Helga how he feels and admit he doesn’t understand why she’s still acting this way this “far” into their relationship, however far that would be.

And they would fight about it. And that’s ok, cause people fight all the time. Plus I’m basing this on the fact that Craig himself said they would have a very rocky relationship as preteens, one of the bigger reasons for that would probably be Helga’s inability to trust people.

I think an episode like that would make potential for Arnold discovering more about Helga. Maybe he would go to her house one day after their fight to apologize and he’d overhear something between Helga and her parents, something that would make her abuse even more obvious to him, once again reminding him that despite him not growing up with parents, he lived in a loving household, which Helga did NOT.

It’ll be a rocky road, one that will end with them breaking up - like Craig Bartlett has said - but they would remain friends. And they would both grow up, mature and develop and they’d find their way into each other’s hearts again.

I don’t expect everything to be sugar-coated with Arnold and Helga, and no one else should cause that’s simply not what’s going to happen. Not just because it’d be unrealistic, but because Craig Bartlett has explained everything he imagines happening between them, with their rocky relationship, their break-up, friendship and later on, reunion with both marriage and children in the future.

Arnold and Helga has one of the deepest, most realistic, thoroughly developed relationships in cartoon history with lots of ups and downs instead of sugar sweet fluffiness all the time. And that’s an important message to kids:

If you expect your relationships to be 100% positive all the time, you’re gonna be sorely disappointed. So showing the rocky relationship Arnold and Helga would have, would make for something ground-breaking in the cartoon world.

Hey Arnold! Season 6 Wishlist

If we get season six, these are the things @jysumrae (who helped me come up with this list) and I would want to see:

- Miles and Stella trying to find Arnold the perfect present for Christmas, but Arnold tells them that them being together as a family is the best present they could have possibly have given him.

- Miles trying to be a ‘hip’ parent gag

- Miles and Stella parent-teacher conferences with Mr. Simmons

- Miles and Stella learning to co-parent with Phil and Pookie. Like, they have to work through the frustration that they weren’t around to parent Arnold and get to know him; there will be times where he still looks to his Grandparents for advice instead of his parents. 

- Miles and Stella vs Big Bob and Miriam scenes

- Pookie taking Stella on one of her crazy adventures

- Miles, Arnold, and Phil taking a fishing trip

- Miles and Stella chaperone a school dance or field trip

- Miles and Stella Valentine’s Day

- Mother’s Day

- Father’s Day

- A New Parents’ Day episode with Miles and Stella

- Miles and Stella trying but failing miserably to work a ‘blue-collar’ job

- Miles and Stella have to leave town for the day but feel guilty and anxious about Arnold (who is also anxious about them leaving)

-Miles and Stella overreacting to Arnold getting sick, and Phil and Pookie having to reassure them

- STELLA BEING MORE LIKE A MOM TO HELGA THAN MIRIAM

- Confirmation that Suzy did leave Oskar (she wasn’t present at all in the film)

- Miles and Stella trying to help Arnold with his homework, but they’re not used to all the new technology and struggle

- Miles’ childhood with Phil and Pookie

- Miles and Stella having to bail Pookie out of jail

- Miles and Stella temporarily moving out of the boarding house with Arnold because of the chaos but realizing that it doesn’t make Arnold happy to be away from the rest of his family

 - Arnold going on a double date with Helga and Gerald and Phoebe; Miles and Stella not sure how they feel about Arnold being so ‘grown-up’ now

- Arnold going on a sleepover to Gerald’s and Miles and Stella being worried to the point where they keep calling 

- Big Bob calling Arnold an orphan boy again and his parents flipping out
