The biggest lie I have ever heard is that "You can learn editing on your own". Guess what: If you don't have anything to edit, you can't learn to edit. Any youtuber who tries to make people believe that you can do that are just liars, and scammers.
Sometimes I wonder how people manage to learn to draw. Like I have been learning almost every day since the summer of 2023, and I didn't get better at all. I can't even draw a normal looking human, or even a hand, or a book.
Learning to draw - WEEK 1
So some of you might not know, but not so recently, I started to learn how to draw. I always wanted to draw things, and I watched lots of tutorials about how to draw nicely. Obviously I’m a beginner, which you will see soon, but I accept advice from anyone. I will make a blogpost every sunday, where I post my art-progress, and post is on my reddit page, so anyone can see it, and give me advice.…

Is Peter David's X-Factor good?
I recently read the 2005 X-factor comic series written by Peter David. And I have to say, I enjoyed it. It was a really fun read at the most part. So this most will be a little bit different than my other posts (See my review of The Power Girl comic series for example). And not just because this is the first time I review a Marvel comic series, or anything. No. This will be different, because I…

The worst canon Batman story
During the Caped Crusader’s 80+ years of story telling, there were multiple stories that could be seen as horrible, and down right bad. Such as the infamous All Star Batman and Robin, or Kevin Smith’s run on the character, but none of them come close to a comic that came out in 2011. David Finch’s Batman: The Dark Knight is a run that came out in 2011 and ended in 2014. It’s known as one of the…

Power Girl (2009-2011) issues 13-27 review
Power Girl is a character who was created in 1976, and first appeared in the 58th issue of the All Star Comics. She had some adventures with the JSA, the JLA, and the JLI, but never had any solo comic book series. This changed in 2009, when Jimmi Palmiotti and his wife Amanda Conner agreed to work on her solo series. They wrote the first 12 issues of the series. It started off really strong, but…

Who are The New Mutants (and who are the original members of the team)?
In 1982, during Chris Claremont’s tenure of writing the X-Men, the high critical praises, and really high rating showed Marvel that the fans love the team and want more of them. Obviously there were already short spin-off series (like the Magik & Storm spin-off for example), but Marvel felt like they need more than that. So in the later months of 1982, while the X-Men were away on a different…

Powergirl (2009) issue 10-12 review
So first of all, I know I wasn’t here for at least a week, and some of you were probably waiting for my post, so I want to say sorry. I was reading other comics, and I completely forgot that I wanted to review this entire comic series. Let’s begin: When I first began reading this series, I was hoping for it to be good. Like I heard a few good things about it, and my expectations were probably so…

Power Girl (2009) issues 7-9 review
Recently I started reviewing the 2009 Power Girl comic series for fun, and I already got to issues 6. I have to say I’m still mixed about it, and even with these 3 comics, my opinions has not changed. The only thing I want to say before I start my new review, is that I failed to talk about the art of the comic, so I’ll make up for it right here, right now. I am in love with the art. Every…

Power Girl (2009) issues 4-6 review
So yesterday I started a little adventure with the reading of the 2009 Power Girl comics. I have already reviewed the first 3 issues, and my opinions were mixed about it, but I liked it on the most part. With the exception of Issue 2, it was great. Well, I liked the next three issues a lot more. But let’s get to the review. Issue 4 Issue 4 starts with our main character watching a trailer for…

Power Girl 2009 issue 1-3 review
In February of 1976 a new character named Power Girl were created. She was an alternate adult version of Supergirl from Earth-2, and some comic-book shenanigans managed to get to Earth-1. Currently she is known for her… “Interesting” choice of costume, but yesterday I had a sudden feeling. I wanted to know if there is something more to the character. I mean yeah, usually every comic character has…

Top 5 things to do in Budapest
5. Visit Buda Castle Buda Castle is a known location in Budapest. As the name would tell you, it is a castle. Not just any Castle. It was one of the Royal Palaces when Hungary was still a kingdom. There are libraries too, if you are interested in them. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Hungary, so if you are interested in it, I would recommend it greatly. And even the sights look…

Top 5 DC superheroes that aren't American
DC is known for it’s famous Superheroes. Like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Other great characters. Though most of them are from the big USA, there are some characters, that aren’t from there. These are the ones I am going to talk about today. There is only one major rule I am going to settle on. If the character isn’t American, but was raised as one, I am going to exclude them. So sadly I…

The Sad Story of the creators of Superman.
Superman is one of the (if not the) most famous characters ever created in fiction. The big blue boy scout intrigued the imaginations of children all across America during the second world war. But not a lot of people know the backgrounds of the creation of the character. How to Jewish kids from Cleveland, Jerry Siegel, and Joe Shuster created the character, and how they tried to sue DC for the…

Comic books: Where to start reading?
Ever since the beginning, people loved reading comic books. They went to the nearest news paper stand, or comic shop – maybe even opened an app on their phone, if we talk about modern times – and bought the newest issue of their favorite comic, and read it. Obviously it got a lot harder every single issue, because everyone wants to read stuff from the beginning. But right now it’s a lot harder to…
