Shifen: Nature and History

On the second day of our tour together with our co-architects, we visited Shifen in New Taiwan City. We were able to visit the “Niagara” Falls of Taiwan, and the Old Street where lighting at least a sky lantern is a must!

QingShui Geothermal Park

Qingshui Geothermal Park! Lucky to visit this place after attending a product presentation by Tiking (Check out http://www.tiking.com.tw/).

We enjoyed boiling some greens and eggs as we bond during the rest of the day.

Yehliu GeoPark!

Yehliu Park is is one of the top destinations in the northern part of Taiwan. The magnificent land formations just took our eyes in awe.

This was during our 2nd day of our ArchitecTOURS together with my colleagues in United Architects of the Philippines Baguio City Chapter :)

When everything starts to fall infront of you, wake up.

When I was younger, I had this attitude of not accepting defeat, not even considering cancellations and rejections as I see it as a form of failure. I can consider that as my winning form in those years because I was really that bold. Fast-forward today, at 32, I start to do turning tables: I cancel things, I say no, and so on. When things I worked hard on start to go on as planned, I now care less.. I acknowledge this as a problem, but my approach is now different. In this light, I need to wake up and realize that I have an unsung dutyvto salvage myself from drowning.

Just a quick update😊 I have loads of content in mind, but too little time to work on it. I promise to work things out folks!

Pacing

Here is a photo of a garden snail, blissfully traveling to well-i-don’t-know path... but what’s for sure it goes along to its purpose.

I am actually in the mood of creating a post right now but I really don’t know how to start again. Formal? Casual? Should I still go on the usual posts I previously had (in line with my passion for arts, and travel as well)... but you know, maybe the best thing at the moment is for me to just type what’s in my mind. :)

Going back, this photo of a snail reminds me of my life flow. Recently I really felt that time is to short in order to fulfill or accomplish things. I reached to a point that I even forgot my age HAHA but yeah maybe this is the consequence of being preoccupied. I wish I am just a snail which uses a foot, an quietly moving slow, but graceful. It is just peaceful to witness its travel, worrying on the risks of being stepped, or eaten by a bigger creature.

Do I make sense? :D I’ll try to organize my thoughts next time I post in tumblr :D

Tapuakan River, Pugo, La Union

 A day trip in Tapuakan River, Pugo, La Union, was one of the memorable experiences in 2016! I was able enjoy a day with colleagues, and most importantly, bond with nature!

The pristine river water is so clear, and the area is so beautiful - a perfect picture of relaxation. Enjoy the short clip we had during this day tour.

Beauty

I remember this floral arrangement on top of the tables at Pannzian, Ilocos Norte. I love the staff picking up flowers available in their surroundings and come up with a super light-feeling, heart-felt simple set up. It is Beauty on its Truest Form. No sugar coating, no forced appreciation. Its beauty is just filled with love. I may sound like a pastor, but yeah… The first thing I thought of this is our Lord, who created all of these beautiful flowers. <3

Staying at Casa Consuelo might be your best option when you go to Pagudpud. It was our second time to stay in the resort for our family vacation. That serene and beautiful sunrise view just keep on making me awe.... what a beautiful piece from our Lord!

GOATS ARE GOOD CLIMBERS

During our morning road trip in Pagudpud, we stopped at one stop - on a rocky seaside, with beautiful pebble wash beach... and climbing goats!! :D

Witnessing goats climbing (it’s the first time for me to see goats climb. lol), reminded me of some web articles and video documentary about a certain species of goats who excel in mountain climbing somewhere in Colorado (?) I guess goats have this ability in their nature. What a great skill - maybe we can learn some techniques from these intelligent creatures of God :)

Way back in 2014 I was commissioned by a good friend and advisor, Sir Jose Rosendo “Joey” Sadsad to do his professional logo. Inspired by his love for fashion and beauty, his sentimental colors, and of course his initials, I came up with a “medallion”. :D

Well of course, a medallion is not enough to describe his achievements as a fashion and beauty icon!

 I can really say that Sir Joey is really blessed with a beautiful and creative set of hands, and a powerful mind, and of course a very inclusive love for his craft. Thank you Sir!
