i know it's just a silly moment & it’s probably not that deep but at the beginning when harper sneezes and teddy goes "i must be catching cold", mistaking it for himself. i thought that maybe that indicates a level of physical dissociation/numbness. where he's not as in touch with his physical state as he should be, which could be linked to physical abuse when young.

do u think jonathan & herman ever did gambling? u have the ace of hearts card associated with them (or one of them), on that cool little beads chain here (idk why that is but would love to know the reason) gambling could potentially could be a source of income for them. i’d think they might want to stay away from it because it's more to do with chance than strategy, and jonathan likes to be in control. which, herman does too, but he's a bit more used to being out of control so maybe he might not be as averse to it idk but it's also a social thing, they could use it to make connections in the criminal world

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS EARLIER,,, i think a MUCHHH younger jonathan would be a gambler,,, i think that would be his first "get rich quick" plan,, but jonathan would quickly learn that he wasnt gonna make money,, i think herman would like to play card games to pass time but i dont think he'd ever be much of a gambler since hes more of the rational one of the two!! i think its very possible one of jonathans first kills was because of rage due to gambling and then he quit forever?? mayb? i associate them with cards just for no reason honestly,, i just think its cute and crap, its also on my moodboard for herman,, i think that its just because i feel like cards would entertain him,, maybe he'd like solitaire or poker?

as for criminal connections i just cant imagine them having many close allies, i imagine them kind of like outcasts, since they dont stay to one area or even country! maybe theyd try and be familiar with the area theyre in and its crime organizations!
