i was probably not ready to watch it, but i did it. and i listened to lock it down. and i , predictably, cried the whole time. in a gross messy puffy red faced way. and then i thought as long as im suffering maybe its time to finally watch/listen to shinin’ 

and you know what? 

i didn’t cry, i couldn’t. 

i just smiled because that last gift from him, that consolation
