Beyond the given reason as to why Roathe enjoys the company of the Cavia, I believe he particularly enjoys conversing with Bird-3 because Bird-3 is existentially curious. This is something he and Roathe share.

Roathe wants to get to the heart of any matter, regardless of pretense, and it's why Bird-3's curiosity and perceptiveness intrigues him. Roathe loves to wax philosophical and greatly values these traits in a conversational partner. It's also why he can become short with The Drifter if they refuse to entertain a thought or idea with him. Roathe wants to play in the conversational mud, and he's able to do that with Bird-3.

So Albrecht has been achieving time travel via the Helminth. This actually kind of makes sense.

The Helminth's hive mind reaches across time, meaning that when someone enters it at one point in time, the Helminth now has the "information" of that person across all points in time. It probably then works like a Star Trek transporter where it breaks down the original person, and then reconstructs them in another time and place. If so, then we wander into Ship of Theseus territory.

However, we still don't know how he's able to create a Helminth in XX99, a time before any strain of Infestation.

I figured out why Roathe no longer wants to help Loid. Apparently one of my past convos (pic below the cut) with him is bugged and now displays chat choices I didn't make.

I've seen others have this specific conversation bug. If it's just this one convo, then maybe DE can let us redo that specific conversation so we don't have to do a complete Triad reset,

So, Lyon sells the Gilded Plinth. But it doesn't have a xenoflora in it. So I tried to put one from the Market in it.... It really doesn't work. You can't make it small enough to fit insde. Plus, the market xenoflora bends away when you get near it like ambient foliage does.... I have no idea what the intended purpose of this is.
