Writing schedule v2

So by previous writing schedule has been taking a bit long, I know that. Mostly it has been life happening and reduced amount of writing time this year, however, writer's block has been taken a toll as well.

For the first part, I can at least say that I have no intentions of abandoning writing at the moment. Though life is life you know. I'll try to keep a better pace than I have had this year, but in no way expect a chap every week. Busy dude.

For the second part, I have decided to restructure the way I schedule my writing. In the past I have written whatever I felt like, with some stories updated often (by my standards), while others were left in oblivion. That's the reason I changed to a fixed schedule, though braving through writer's block on a stuck story didn't help, especially when I could have made progress elsewhere instead of being stuck.

So, I've decided to make adjustments (an evolving process). Mostly, I'll try to keep my priority list, but whenever I am stuck I'll move to write the next story in my list and so on, while constantly getting back to the first story to see if I can get it unblocked. Here are the ground rules:

I am still not committing to any dates, as I am terribly slow, people still know that. The schedule is for fic writing order, not dates of publishing.

Still giving more priority to updating the fics that have stayed the longest without update, and to my Ron Weasley series.

I will still keep publishing new stories, because is fun and refreshing and already have stuff written about a bunch of them.

I have a very long schedule, I will put all of my active stories with progress so you can get an idea of how much work is pending on your favorite and how many stories I have to go through before I revisit it.

That being said, here it is:

1. Ron Weasley and the Chamber of Secrets  Chapter 7. (Purebloods and Parchments). I have not started with this one yet.

2. Harry Potter and the Ship Wars  Chapter 5 (The Ship That Must Not Be Named). Solid first scene completed, but haven't started with the rest.

3. Back in Time: The Lightning Thief Chapter 7 (Grover IV). Passable draft which I need to work on.

4. Broken Conscience Chap 2 (Afterwards) I have like 10-20% of the chap done.

5. Harry Potter and the Founders' Scroll. Chapter 4. (The Fresh Appeal of Ancient Runes). I have literally 0 words written about this one. It might take a while

6. Harry Potter and the Unity Cup. Chapter 2 (The Unity Trials). I have zero words of this.

7. Harry Potter and the Halfblood Weasleys. Chapter 10 (The Woe's of Mr Malfoy). I have 0 words for this one, but know exactly where it's going.

8. The Marauders and the Prisoner of Azkaban  Chapter 3 (The Boy Who Lived - Lily's POV). I have an old draft to work for this one. Shouldn't take long to finish once I return to this story.

9. Hermione is an owl  Chapter 6 (Tarantallegra) 0% done.

10. Mighty Morphin Potter Rangers . Chapter 3. (Lavender's POV). 0% done.

11. Harry Potter and the Gatekeeper's Book Chapter 6. (A Pack of Redheads). 0% done

12. The Wholesome WIP Where They Blush And Hold Hands Because Jon Doesnt Write Smut Chapter 2. 0% done. Wholesome Diagon Alley

13. The Philosopher's Hope Chapter 2. 0% done. Harry and Luke

14. [Star Wars / Harry Potter Crossover Working Title] . Chapter 2. 0% done. But takes place in Utapau.

15. Echoes in the Stars. Chapter 3. 0% done.

16. Rainbow Hermione. Chapter 3. (Sunburn). 0% done.

17. Potters, Weasleys and the Son of the Legend Chapter 6. (The Marriage Hearing). 80% done.

18. Uncrushed Chapter 6. (Head over Heels). 0% done

“But… it’s barely dawn,” Ron grunted, pulling his sheet over his head. Harry snapped the bedsheet away. “Oliver insisted. You weren’t waking up, so he asked me to handle it.” Ron sat on the bed, rubbing his face. His groan morphed into a yawn halfway out of his mouth. “Is he out of his fucking mind?” It turned out that yes, Oliver Wood was indeed out of this fucking mind.

Update on Writing

Hey, it's me, still alive. Still slow. So what's up with writing these days? So I've recently (You know my concept of recently) updated Rainbow Hermione. Well, this week I updated 2 fics... Son of the Legend and Uncrushed. Neat...

I participated a lot in fest this first half of the year, andmay have others coming. On my wip priorities... For my existing fics can be checked on my status that I have pinned. But it can be summarized to Ron Weasley Chamber of Secrets, Ships of War, PJO story and Broken Conscience. Those updates should be coming more or less in that order. The Ron chap I have not even started, but I have the whole thing in my head and should be a smooth write (and quite a chapter at that). Ships of War is always a delight to write and I also have the first scene complete, so I hope to take only half the time writing that one when I get there. PJO I have a full draft, but it's old and will need serious editing... but still, with the whole thing written down, I expect it to go smoothly. Broken Conscience I also have like 60% or so written, should be a quick write when I get there. On fests... So first, @clementinesbarn masquerades I never miss I always have to take part on those. But it won't take my time as I may have already finished my fic. As always, expect to be surprised there. As I usually do those to mess up with people. There is a fairytale fest which I was thinking on joining (with a Disney at Hogwarts fic)... but not sure if I'll get the time to write that one.

A next-gen fest approaches too, I'm thinking on writing an entry for that one. With a fic set in 2117!!! There is also a time travel fest at @clementinesbarn. But I am hosting that one, so I cannot skip it. Good news! I already have 1 of the fics I am putting there practically done. I also plan to enter a couple more. But both are already like 80% done, so I hope it won't take long.

After that, I'm not sure which fests will follow. I'll probably try to stay low on fests after that... but I can't miss any masquerade and there's one coming in october. And Clementine may organize some big fest for December... so hopefully only those 2 shall be it for the rest of the year and Novemeber shall be very clear to make progress on my wips.

Other things...

I am coming up with some family trees. But I don't want to spend too much time in that... I'll see what I can put out.

I also have an idea of writing an original... we'll see if that works out.

"Malfoy!" Harry hissed.

"This," Lucius said, pushing a foot forward and pointing at him ceremoniously with his cane, his cape fluttering to one side, "Is the last..." he turned to the other side, a sensual shake of his neck threw his mane back, swinging in synchrony with the other side of his cape. "that you interfer..." he smack his cane down, resting both hands on it as his cape slowly hovered down. "With greatness."

"I'm not coyed by your flamboyance Malfoy!"

"How.... very much... dare you..." Malfoy sneered, spun around on his axis three times as his cape circled him like a music box ballerina.

Some descriptors share categories, and some are simplified, but for the most part everything is in its proper place. Not all the words are as useable as others, and some might take tricky wording to pull off, but I hope these prove useful to all you writers out there!

Writing Update

Hey.... I know I haven't updated my stories in a while. Much to blame there is discord and fests.... (evil discord!!! @clementinesbarn).... However, there's something of lack of motivation/writer's block on my current fic.

No. This is not me saying I'll drop my fics. I have too many ideas to finish them to drop them. This is me saying the latest chapter I have been written has proven difficult and have struggled to get it to a point I like. Meanwhile, the fests are motivating and fics I end up soon. So there's that. I am finally, finally, think I may be close to updating one of my fics, but going forward I am kind of considering being more flexible with my schedule. (Ha! I know! I am not talking about time.) So perhaps should write next about the story I feel motivated about, or that I have a clear idea forward.

What's the plan then? Finish the next chapter for my Ron Weasley story. I have 1 scene to go and it's the easiest to write. Perhaps a week or two should be done, considering the time available I have.

Then, I'll try to continue with the roadmap I have above, but if at any point I lose interest or are blocked, I'll just switch to one of my other WIPs and get back to the stuck one later.

I will continue spending sometime in discord. I am mod there, and honestly is fun. And fests. I certainly do Clementine Server's big masquerades (where I try to disguise my writing to mess with people)... That's where the goat fic, the evil fae, and wholesome Vicky came from. However, I have also another fests I wrote for or I am planning to write for:

I have a completed Lucissa which is surprisingly wholesome and funny. It's finished. Around 4.6k. And should be visible sometime in mid march. It may end up in Clementine's wholesome fest or @suniwrites dark romance fest

I have a very crazy, twisty, and honestly hotly weird Romione fic written for the Hot Ron Fest (@hotronfest)... around 3.5k words... should be visible sometime by the end of this week.

I am also writting a new Romione for the wholesome fest of Clementine for mid march. Already have the first scene, so it shouldn't take me long. It's a 3rd year Romione wholesome, innocent relationship romance. Which, may or may not grow into multiple chapters later on.

I also plan to write a Star Wars crossover (I am hosting that fest)... but deadline for that is on May the 4th (I know)... so hopefully I get some of my WIPs updated before I start writing that one (fingers crossed).

This update turned out to be longer than I thought. Anyway, ping me here or in discord if you have questions.

Must heavily feature Harry Potter AND Star Wars fandom. Any time period or characters allowed. Can be HP in SW universe, SW in HP universe, or a combination.

Any word length, format or genre allowed. Rating up to M. Dark themes restricted, but usually allowed on up to M. If in doubt, ask.

Dark topics allowed in M capacity. They can be discussed but not getting to Explicit material in either sexual or violence topics. Purpose is to focus on the merging of lore and characters.

Specific magic systems implemented in the other fandom

Heavy references to one fandom as being "fiction" in the other fandom, as long as both are heavily referenced

Different time periods and media… Hogwarts Founders, Old Republic, Marauders, Prequels (or yes, even sequels), Next Gen (or yes, even the fanfic known as Cursed Child). Clone Wars, Rebels, Mandalorian, EU novels allowed too! (and yes, even holiday specials).

Update

I've been a bit lazy lately. I have not abandoned the fics, I've just been bouncing about other things and rethinking stuff. I have been involved in Discord, moderating a new server, and I am currently in a masquerade fest.

Expect a new fic from me to be revealed by the end of the year, tho it may or may not be different style to what I usually write. It's all part of the deceit.
