prince pretending to be a commoner and commoner pretending to be a prince. red dragon and black. both have floppy straw hats to keep their face out of the sun. both raised in the wild but one is to get away from the targaryen dynasty and the other is an attempt to restore it. Dunk walking into the fire to save Rhaella and Jon invading Westeros with terminal greyscale ready to burn it down. aching fundamental lie at the heart of their relationships (dunk isn’t a knight) (young griff isn’t rhaegar’s son) semi-known never acknowledged would break them would not matter because the love and care they have for those kids transcends it a little (egg is dunk’s squire) (young griff is griff’s son). and ultimately that love was there and it mattered and it was not enough for either of them they are both being led to their respective apocalyptic funeral pyres!
