This recipe started out as a batch of soap we thought ruined from forgetting to add essential oil to scent it, but turned into one of my favorite bars. The soap has a soft, powdery smell, and makes such wonderful and creamy bubbles. We've kept the recipe as-is.

What do you use essential oil roll-ons for? Peppermint eucalyptus is my favorite for headaches, and a citrus blend is my go to pick-me-up for that middle of the day 'i just wanna nap' feeling, especially on cloudy days!

These shower steamers are HUGE! And 5000% cute ofc. Protip: You can use 1/4th of a shower steamer as a bath bomb. Their ingredients are very similar, just extra strong so that they last multiple showers rather than you sitting in it. 😏

That line is different for everyone. “It comes from saying no to 1,000 things to make sure we don’t get on the wrong track or try to do too much.” -Steve Jobs Some phrases to clearly express ‘no for now’ are: “I might be able to next week, check back in with me later.” or “I don’t have the time/focus to discuss that right now.” If the situation is ‘no, never’ you can try: “That’s not something I can help you with.” or “I’m not able to do that.” “Pay attention when people react with anger and hostility to your boundaries. You have found the edge where their respect for you ends.” -anon Don’t be afraid to shut someone down if they persist, and don’t feel like you must apologize. After one firm and clear ‘no’ you have every right to walk away from a situation or end the conversation. Lavender

Lavandula Angustifolia is a small perennial shrub native to the Mediterranean that now grows around the world. It’s been used in a variety of ways since 3150 BC; from a bath perfume in ancient Rome, to a laundry rinse in medieval England. It was in the purifying decoctions of ancient Africa, and an ingredient in ancient Egyptians healing balms. (10) This delightful purple herb is actually part of the mint family, with recent studies showing off potent medicinal and psychoactive properties such as being anti-inflammatory (2), anti-fungal (6), pain relieving (2), anti-microbial (1), anti-anxiety (4, 5), and anti-seizure (3). It’s been recognized as effective against two of the biggest antibiotic-resistant trouble makers: MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) and VRE (vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus) (6). The two active ingredients in Lavender that are under the most attention are Linalool (26%) and Caryophyllene (7.5%) (4). Caryophyllene displays anti-anxiety and anti-depression effects in lab tests, as well as being neuroprotective against cell damage caused by degenerative diseases like ALS, from drug withdrawal, and from Alzheimer’s. (7, 8) Studies on Linalool indicate that it is an anti-cancer agent on top of it’s well known mood boosting properties. (9) Whether you’re using the herb in cooking or oils in bath products, Lavandula Angustifolia is a natural treasure worth stopping to enjoy. Interested in adding some Lavender to your life?
