Everyone You Know Has Failed.
Everyone in your life has failed.
Yes, everyone, no exceptions.
Be it a test, a bankruptcy, failing a class, failing a semester, failing a year of school, dropping out, getting fired, failing their drivers test, you name it you most likely know SOMEONE who has done it. They might not talk much about that because most people don’t brag about their failures. But they’ve done it.
I failed my first driver’s liscence exam. I knew someone that failed it three times. I got fired from my first job. I dropped out of college. I have a lot of social anxiety (which can often feel like failure).
I am still alive. I am still going. I have an active Patreon, I sell my art for a living, I am getting better at all of the things I want to work on in my life. It’s slow but it’s progress.
In my life I know people who are still alive and thriving who have:
Dropped out of high school
Had babies when they were teenagers
Are in debt up to their eyeballs
The world tells you that a lot of things are failures and that failures completely ruin you. That’s not true. Everything above has been told to me to be a mark of failure but the people I know that lived those things? They’re still living and a lot of them are thriving. Those that aren’t are getting by just fine.
Life is going to knock you down and set you back sometimes. But don’t be fooled because that doesn’t mean it’s the end. That is the biggest and stupidest lesson that the world tries to tell you. That once you fail, it’s over. It’s not. You get back up. You do it again and you do it better. That is how learning works. That is how life works.
