We are sharing the story of two American travelers from Black Rock City, Nevada who are being held captive in Bali, Indonesia after being cruelly kidnapped by a ragtag group of corrupt officers and vigilantes.
Due to the ravages of COVID-19 to Bali’s tourism industry, already corrupt and lawless conditions there have led to increasing danger to travelers and locals alike through harassment, extortion, kidnapping, and other dangerous tactics to supplement income.
As these two world travelers and Burning Man “burners” were hoping to enjoy a trip to Bali, a group of 37 poor and desperate officers framed the two unsuspecting American tourists, planting drugs on them, beating them, robbing them, and then kidnapping and holding them for ransom. They were ultimately robbed of $30,000 worth of jewelry, money, clothes and other items, including a brand new puppy! Who steals a puppy?
The story goes on. The officers knew they were caught on home security cloud cameras, so they panicked and decided to milk their innocent American captives of even more money.
They beat one of them with a fist gun, kicking him into submission and duct taping his eyes, ears, and mouth shut. They were later brought to an unmarked building without food and water, deprived of sleep, and refused phone calls other than if the captors were promised ransom money.
