Poniatowski’s last evening in Kraków. The final decision.

Under the pressure of tempting offers and tense persuasions, he was forced to choose between Poland or Napoleon…

The pistols that evening started to look real friendly.

What did he chose? I think it’s obvious, he chose the path of inevitable doom. The path to keep his honour and stay by emperor’s side.
