I’ve always found the concept of save points and resting, particularly in games like Final Fantasy, an interesting parallel to sitting down and reflecting in real life. It’s odd because with games save points are a compulsory thing, you have to save your progress and anticipate doing it. but in reality we there’s not much calling or forcing us to have a sit down and reflect. Playing these games as a child I found it heartwarming and comforting when the characters got together around a campfire and have a chat.

I also loved when you rested in an inn and the screen blacked out and played a familiar sleep jingle.

Hey guys,

So It’s been a very long time since I last posted anything on Tumblr. To shed some light on my absence with my comics and animation, I’ve been working as an illustrator on various projects across the globe for a while now!

It’s been quite a journey, around 4 years so far. And I have mainly had to focus my time on work that pays the bills and supports myself financially. Such is the reality of illustration and a creative career! With that said I would very much like to pursue my own projects and creative work more, It’s a craving that I need to satisfy.

To everyone that’s enjoyed my Animal Crossing Animation I’m really glad I was able to entertain and reach out to so many people. I know I planned to make more (one almost made it) and a lot of people have asked about it in the comments. Unfortunately animation is very time consuming which is why I wasn’t able to continue with the project.

I still really want to connect with you guys, in the form of my illustration and lifelong connection to video games. So here is an artwork I have recently completed based around the Fez quote “Reality is perception”

My idea was to possibly make t-shirts out of these video game related artworks for you guys to buy, but I soon realised it would be copyright infringement! I know a lot of people and companies do it anyway, but I’d rather not.

So to sum up, I’m going along with making future artworks possibly for t-shirts that you guys can buy. I still want to explore my connection with video games, so there will still be a running theme, just without focusing on existing properties. You’ll have to wait and see how this turns out!

Thanks and I look forward to sharing more of my work after my general Tumblr absence.
