Joshua lit one up and took a few mere seconds of a drag, before turning his nose up at it, unliking the distaste it left in his mouth, he chucked it at the pristine floor and stamped on it to put it out, leaving it there, picking up the second one, lighting that, and just as quickly throwing at away, wasting the two sticks of tobacco in less than a minute, eyes focused on the way they both sizzled against the floor, looking as though he was investigating every single thing about them. Once he had looked up again, it was like his face was repeatedly washed of anything that happened in the last few days, he could be as distant as a raving sea when he wanted to, it was all a matter of choice. ââLovely?ââ, he scoffed between words, remembering just being huddled in the corner, and something about getting water on his shoes with two grown men bickering over who should clean it, which he still didnât understand. ââI wouldnât go that far, though I suppose it canât of been that bad if you enjoyed it, even more so if it was blurry.ââ Shrugging, he kicked the dead cigs impulsively under the desk, finding strength to fold his arms as he formed his next sentence, ââIt wasnât like I participated, not really, I left after about fifteen minutes, I found more solace in the ghouls in the maze than the people actually in the party.ââ His brows continued to raise at her body language, they were like two different parallels standing in a room, one unable to stop jittering, the other completely still. ââMaybe you shouldâve come to talk to me, I might have actually felt like being there.ââ
