okay so this is just something that’s been on my mind for awhile now and I may be the only one, but does it bother anyone else when some people (scenario accounts in my mind particularly) make Joshua to be some Jesus freak? Like for example there could be a request for how the members would dance with you at prom or something like that and for Joshua it’ll say something like “oh there’d be a 5 mile distance between you two because you gotta leave room for Jesus” or it’d be a request of seventeen during a make out session and Joshua’s will have something like “he’d pray to Jesus for forgiveness once he’s done” Like, stop. Yes he’s a Christian and yes he attended church frequently in America but that doesn’t mean he relates everything he does to Jesus ??????? You’re basically mocking him for his religion and that’s not okay. He may be religious, but not to the point people are making him seem. He doesn’t try to shove his religion down his members, or anyone’s throat, he doesn’t insist on praying for everything, he respects the other members religions and their views and doesn’t force himself on anyone. Sorry if this rant doesn’t make any sense it’s like 4am but just, it’s 2016 and it’s time to stop poking fun at Joshua’s religion, it should’ve never started in the first place.

Before we all go out for blood, please keep in mind that the MAMA awards absolutely does not define a groups talent, potential or hard work so please don’t be too hard on yourself if your bias group didn’t get the award that you were hoping for. Another thing is, regardless of who wins please know that every single group who was nominated for the award deserves it just like everyone else so please let’s just try to be happy for them, and try not to pin groups against each other. They’re all talented, hardworking and deserving.

also to add another layer to the whole portrayal of joshua as "jesus obsessed" is that korean culture in america is mainly kept intact through churches made by and for koreans in the diaspora. theyre known safe spaces and the fact that intl fans (which is more fucked up cause some intl fans have exposure + proximity to korean churches but still ignore why they exist in the first place) use the fact that joshua went to church frequently in the US to mock him is so dehumanizing and racist.

no worries! my reply is late af I just don't know how late because I'm barely seeing this yikesI understand that, I know that some people do that and think of it is a harmless joke, and that I can get where they're coming from. I just mean the people that go overboard with it, where everything they say about Joshua has to be related to his religion or they just never call him anything other than "jisoos" or "Jisoos Christ", you know what I mean? hope you understand what I'm coming from ^^

Oh my god thank you for making that post about Josh it was so annoying seeing billions of fanfics that made him seem that way, there are a lot of kstars who are Christian and who said they attended church but they choose to only pick at Josh

it was no problem! it's been on my mind for quite a long time now and it's always been bugging me so I decided to just make a little rant about it to get it out of my system. Joshua's proud to be a Christian and he's not ashamed of it in the slightest, and I don't ever want him to be because of people endlessly mocking him.
