Heyy I'm still new here , tell me how's your experience on here been like ?
My experience on Tumblr has been good, even though I was away for a couple of years there. It's been interesting trying to get back into the swing of checking Tumblr every couple of days.
End of Spring × Starting School
Hello everyone, it’s another spring day in Grove City, and I’m looking forward to what the summer has to bring (other than hot temperatures). As we’re only at the beginning of May, there’s still some time until the summer officially begins. I will also be getting a new phone when I start back to school in the fall/autumn. I will be getting the Light Phone III, which has very few apps and no…

It's not paying taxes that bugs me the most -- it's HOW the taxes are USED!
And, of course, the wealthy not being taxed at their appropriate percentages.
“The critiques from across the political spectrum have converged on a shared conclusion: American policy toward Israel has been too uncritical for too long. Polling bears this out: American sympathy for Israel hit an all-time low in 2025, falling beneath 50% for the first time in nearly 25 years of Gallup tracking. That convergence contains something genuinely healthy. A relationship between two countries that cannot be examined, questioned or criticized is not an alliance; it is a dependency. And at a time when the state of Israel is committing what nearly every international and Israeli human rights group considers to be a genocide in Gaza, while implementing an apartheid regime in the West Bank, the US cannot afford to simply continue to provide unquestioned financial support to the Israeli government, even to the extent of violating American human rights law to do so.”

The US-Israel relationship is finally facing a reckoning. It doesn’t need to slide into antisemitism
The next paragraph talks about the difference between legitimate criticism of the Israeli government’s actions and antisemitism.
Where I sit, I see too many people conflating the two, and I also see too many people using our fury at Netanyahu and his enablers as an excuse to just be openly antisemitic, because they already are.
I’m not antisemitic, or any other kind of racist or bigot. I also want Netanyhu to stand trial in the Hague for crimes against humanity. I also want my country to stop doing whatever he says, and I want my taxes to feed and clothe and house people in America. People in Israel get universal healthcare and college education, and American subsidies fund a lot of that. That’s great for those people, and I’m genuinely happy for them to have their basic needs met. I also want that for my own country, for my neighbors, since we are paying for it.
I don’t know how, but somehow these beliefs are consistently spun and twisted into antisemitism by bad faith jerks.
Don’t be antisemitic. Don’t be silent when someone around you is.
Take a moment to read this column, Joel Swanson says more, and he says it better, than me.
“Like traditional casinos, online sportsbooks use a variety of mechanisms to entice gamblers in and then to keep them betting. They use deceptive advertising, claiming generous “average” payouts when in reality “just 1.3 percent of [daily fantasy sports] players were collecting 91% of prize money,” according to a McKinsey report cited by Funt. Like traditional casinos, they employ “VIP hosts” to cosset heavy hitters, and they lure big bettors with comped Super Bowl trips and other complimentary goodies. For more ordinary suckers, their strategies have become more refined. For example, they track your betting frequency, and when it declines, they bombard you with special offers and incentives to get you going again. They are becoming shockingly sophisticated users of mined personal data. Because sportsbook apps require that users activate geolocation on their devices (ostensibly to be sure that gambling is legal where players are), they can pinpoint exactly where a gambler is sitting in a ballpark and use seat prices to infer income and wealth information. An exec at a geodata firm speculates to Funt that they could soon pinpoint the type, and price, of the residences in which bettors live. And of course the pure seamlessness of the apps, the incredible ease of moving money from a bank account into the app, is an enormous incentive to compulsive behavior: the drugs, the dealer, and the ATM all in a single, handheld device. Americans placed $150 billion in bets in 2024, a number that has continued to rise. DraftKings alone has nearly four million monthly users.”

How Gambling Ate the World | The New Republic
I am so tired of this whole stupid industry and I hope it will be regulated, hard, at some point in my lifetime. This shit ruins lives.
maybe tumblr will give us the notes back if we put on the greatest talent show this website's ever seen
WHERE AM I ?!
I thought I lived in America. "Something is happening here, what it is, is not exactly clear." One thing is clear to me ; we are no longer a Democracy. We are a rogue nation attacking other countries at will. We now have the "Department of War" not "Defense". We are no longer the beacon of freedom to the rest of the world. We have squandered that title. There are many people to blame; including ourselves. It is up to us to change it by our votes. There is no "Plan B".
And another semi-weekly photo dump. The lens-flare from the sun is pretty neat.
Another selfie photo dump. Feels nice still doing selfies with my big camera instead of my phone.
In a rational world, if a person were innocent, one would think that they would be champing at the bit to testify and clear their name, and not engineer the biggest cover up ever known.
And, it turns out, when the redactions are eliminated, Donald Trump is in the Epstein Files ONE MILLION TIMES.
He wasn't just Epstein's friend and client. He was his partner in crime.
Wake the fuck up, America.
