TO EVERYONE WHO THINKS WE ARE LIVING IN A POSTRACIAL WORLD. FUCKING READ THIS. CITED FROM REAL PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH.
To everyone who says they “don’t see color.” Open your fucking eyes and READ.
MICROINVALIDATION:
Microinvalidations are characterized by communications that exclude, negate, or nullify the psychological thoughts, feelings, or experiential reality of a person of color. When Asian Americans (born and raised in the United States) are complimented for speaking good English or are repeatedly asked where they were born, the effect is to negate their U.S. American heritage and to convey that they are perpetual foreigners. When Blacks are told that “I don’t see color” or “We are all human beings,” the effect is to negate their experiences as racial/cultural beings (Helms, 1992).

Steal Like An Artist.
You don’t need to be a genius, you just need to be yourself. That’s the message from Austin Kleon, a young writer and artist who knows that creativity is everywhere, creativity is for everyone. A manifesto for the digital age, Steal Like an Artist is a guide whose positive message, graphic look and illustrations, exercises, and examples will put readers directly in touch with their artistic side. When Mr. Kleon was asked to address college students in upstate New York, he shaped his speech around the ten things he wished someone had told him when he was starting out. The talk went viral, and its author dug deeper into his own ideas to create Steal Like an Artist, the book. The result is inspiring, hip, original, practical, and entertaining. And filled with new truths about creativity: Nothing is original, so embrace influence, col- lect ideas, and remix and re-imagine to discover your own path. Follow your interests wherever they take you. Stay smart, stay out of debt, and risk being boring—the creative you will need to make room to be wild and daring in your imagination.

Why is it that I can't talk to anyone. Ranting affect people's lives. People say that good friends don't mind listening to good friends rant. That's such a lie. Friends get tired. They don't want to listen to problems because they have their own. Probably when they have no worries they'll truly want to listen to you. But in that case, they won't understand your problem. No one would. Their advice won't make sense to you. And if you keep rejecting their advice, gradually, they won't want to give it. They won't want to care.
Being a good person doesn't mean you'll be successful outwardly. I'm defining successfully outwardly as earning lots of money, doing well in academics and having people's respect and appreciation. Being a good person sometimes means knowing you're doing something that helps but also knowing that others won't acknowledge that you did it. It means seeing those you've helped be more successful outwardly while you're still stuck. So, this makes me wonder and question, why should I be a good person? Yes, it's selfish. I want something back for being good and nice. I'm not content with just knowing I did something good. It just feels so unfair....
