Cat-astrohphe, nice!  Did you get affected by the power swap at all?  That seemed to be this week’s episode of Phoenix’s Stranger Things.  

I agree!  I’ll happily take a ride on the B-Train!  Everything besides that is all right, though.  I think it’s just been a... really rough few weeks?  I’m hoping things settle down now, at least.  Maybe.

I didn’t, but I wasn’t in town when all of that total madness was happening, so I think I just missed the boat on all of it.  Not that that’s, like, a bad boat to miss, or anything.  As someone who watched Stranger Things, like, a lot, though, I’m mostly just sad that even with a shaved head I could never be anywhere near as cool as Eleven.

Thank you, it meant a lot to me just to be there, so I hope I could make things maybe a little less ...sucky, I guess?  They’re all in my prayers - and despite the... grim reality of it all, I did have a nice time.  And I met so many wonderful people, and that’s the most important part!!

My Halloween was pretty uneventful in the sense that I, like, didn’t dress up, which was a bummer, but I’ll just have to make up for that later.  Everything okay on your end, though?

Oh NO.  Jackie!  You were affected by... whatever it was that happened this week?  I’ve been trying to gather bits and pieces from people around campus, but it’s just making my brain hurt that nothing ever seems, like... to calm down around here.  I’m sorry I didn’t bring you with me!  I bet you’d look really cute in winter apparel.

I’m way ahead of you there!  I’ve smiled at, like, at least forty-three today!  I am sorry I missed your party, though.  I didn’t even dress up!  Maybe we’ll have to have some sort of a costume party for New Year’s Eve.  You think?

What’s the verdict?  Didja ace it?  

The animal thing was nuts.  It was like living in the world’s weirdest Petco.  It definitely seems like the world around us is spinning outta control.  I’m pretty confident that this isn’t like a new normal for us though.  I think things will eventually go back to normal.  It’s just gonna take some time, and probably a lot more weirdness to get through.  

I hope so too.  That’s really thoughtful of you.  

I didn’t!  But I got a B, and I’m perfectly happy with a B, honestly, so I’ll take it.  Although then I took a two week hiatus from classes which probably wasn’t my best idea...?  But I’ll push through it, I think.  I hope.  Wish me luck.

It was really, really unsettling, though.  I’m glad that things have calmed down since then.  It’s always something going on, you know?  One huge catastrophe (or cat-astrophe?) after another.  BUT, I suppose it’s the new normal for us anymore, let’s be honest!

If I can help in any way, even the smallest way, I try to.  We could all use a few prayers every now and then.

HI EVERYONE!!!!

WELL, as you’ve probably noticed (or maybe not?  I mean, that’s pretty presumptuous of me to, like, assume that you would notice?  Sorry!) that I haven’t been around, and that’s because I’ve actually been up North for the past two weeks!  

With everything happening in North Dakota recently (and everything going on around here, as well), I thought it might be a good time to take a mental break from my reality and step further into a reality that’s kind of, like... impacting a huge part of our world.

I’m tiny and I don’t have a very loud voice, but I tried my best to offer support when needed and I brought lots and lots of bottles of water.  I hope it helped, even if it’s not really something that could help, like... that much in the grand scheme of things.  I still hope it helped.

And as for me, I’ve got an actual mountain of homework waiting for me this weekend, so... that should be fun?

I hope you all had a safe Halloween.  I challenge you each to smile at seven people today!

I grew up in Texas, so I’ve seen my fair share of tornadoes, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen one with a vendetta.  In true sidekick fashion I set up a little first aid station, but thankfully nobody stopped by with any tornado related injuries.  

The lesson here?  Be careful who you piss off, their powers might be cooler than yours.

Oh, thank you!  I think he’s posting them tomorrow - or maybe midnight, which basically just means I’m going to be refreshing my page all night.  I’m not too worried about it, but I’m also... definitely worried about it?  If that makes sense?

Um... here and there, I guess?  I’ve been trying to keep the people and places around me as serene as possible with all that’s going on.  Between the animals and the tornados... ?  I don’t know.  I feel like the world I knew a couple weeks ago doesn’t really exist anymore. 

I just hope everyone’s okay.  Physically, mentally, emotionally.  It’s important.  It’s, like, the most important.  I’ve been praying for all of us every night before bed, and every morning when I wake up.
