7 things I'm thankful for this week

For 05/12/13 - 05/19/13. Late, again -_-

I don't know where the days are going, but they're zooming right past me!

1. my brother coming home and returning to his internship safely 2. my brother and I spending time with our mom on Mother's Day 3. Hershey chased a cat! cancer is not stopping her from having fun lol 4. Hershey made it through the 40 min. drive to [and from] the oncologist; it was torturous hearing her heavy breathing but she's okay 5. visiting people in need with my mother 6. being surrounded with positive people; both in person and through social media 7. the much needed decluttering of my closet

7 things I'm thankful for this week

Well, actually last week (05/05/13-05/11/13). I forgot to write this three days ago lol. Anyway, I’ve decided to start this up again. I think remembering things to be thankful for does something good for the soul :)

1. finishing my studies as a graduate student; I still can’t believe I have a Master’s degree!! thank You Lord! 2. my family and friends that were able to share in celebrating a milestone in my life 3. seeing the grace of God in my mother on graduation weekend 4. hugging and spending time with my soul sisters (Diana and Katherine) 5. making it to Miami safely and spending time with my Hershey 6. my brother getting an internship at NASA! and making it there safely 7. God continuously reminding me He is by my side no matter what

Haven't been here in a while. Where is everyone??

Every time my thoughts are racing trying to figure things out, I hear a still, small voice tell me, "Jenny, WHY are you worrying?" What are you gaining with that?" >_< *facepalm*

Feeling like you won't be able to stand, not that you want to give up but that defeat will eventually get the upper hand. Feeling like you want to hold on but something tells you it's just not gonna happen. :/ I don't want to put up a fight today but I'm still pressing forward. >_< Lord, what am I supposed to do?

If I really wanted to be where society says I should be at this point in my life, I would have done so. But I do not want to act out if desperation, taking matters into my own hands. I'm waiting on God. He does things far better than I can ever imagine. And I'd rather wait and have His blessing than make a mistake and have to carry that guilt the rest of my life, wondering how things could have been had I been patient and waited on Him. I'm not perfect. I could prove myself wrong. But my trust is in Him who gives me strength to hold on to His promise that if I am faithful He will bless me abundantly. Lord, my soul waits on You.
