Benelli Tour for ieiMedia. Created by Steve Weiss
In a few weeks, I have had the privilege to have unrestricted access to film an army base, ballet performance, and soon a gun factory. America might be land of the free, but Italy is home of opportunity
Jordan has been getting lessons from the other JMU guys on how to pick up girls
Who wouldn't be excited to be on a train?
Even in Italy, we're still patriotic Americans
In Venezia near the Ponte dei Sospiri
Urbino’s patron saint is St. Cessantino, who did a lot of really cool things that are outshined by the fact that he slayed a dragon. Not gonna lie, I’m proud that the Catholic Church has a dragon slayer.
A whole new world
If I don’t get tan, muscular and an Italian Stallion, then this trip wasn’t worth it. I’ll just have to try again.
We're the fun group. Gotta take that film group selfie
And They Say Everything In Australia Tries To Kill You...
So today marks my 2nd week in Europe, which is weird for me since time seems so slow, yet the days until our video is due are getting shorter. And in this time, I can safely say that I have probably complained about as many things here as I usually do in the States.
One of the biggest problems I have, which has been bothering me for the past few days, are the bugs. And not just bugs, but spiders and scorpions. Yes, scorpions. One of the girls on our trip had to switch rooms because she had about ten spiders in her room and just couldn't sleep there. Two different girls found scorpions in their rooms. Yes, their rooms.
Then there's the mosquito problem. Many in that they all seem to go for my legs. I look like I've been through war, except I don't have a cool story to tell people at bars. And I never see the mosquito until I get the ugly bite later on.
So the fear of all those that could potentially kill me has been a big problem, especially when I'm trying to sleep. So I keep my door and windows closed and locked (just in case you were worried Mom), and now the next problem has started. The heat.
This heat is exactly the same as what happened in the States this past semester, when it snowed one week, and then completely bypassed spring and became sweltering hot. Except there are never any clouds. Do you know how much sunscreen I have to put on in the morning to last me all day? Too much.
But thankful, there will be rain coming in, so hopefully that cools everything down. Until then, Ill be standing in front of my fan with my shoe in one hand killing bugs that cross my path.
Alright, it's two in the morning. I'm over this celebrating. Go to sleep, people.
Italy for the win! These people sure know how to celebrate
FILA is an Italian brand name, and the socks I got for this trip are FILA. Obviously I did this on purpose.
I'm on top of the world
Here in Italy, black and navy are the fashionable colors of choice. So to them, I must look like a fashionista.
