no actually I'm not okay about Jane Prentiss because on my first listen it was too early for me to fully realize how the corruption is intrinsically connected to "rotten" love or obsession. In her statement, Jane says that the hive sings to her and tells her that she can be loved. She says that she doesn't remember why she fell out with all of her friends, but she remembers them calling her "toxic". And we know that entities almost always make avatars out of people who already have a tendency toward them.

Now I desperately need to know more about Jane's pre-hive life, the fucked up ways she formed relationships, the holes in her heart that could only be filled by heeding the hive's music.
