Anthony and Benedict.

Today's Internet rabbit hole. 🕳️

What I love about their dynamic is how supportive Benedict is, without question. He and Anthony are very close in age, and he saw how his brother had to inherit their father's title at a young age. As well as dealing with his own grief and that of all his family, Anthony had to run an estate. He had to learn about tenants, and Window Tax, and farming, and accounting - all practical stuff he was too young to learn about, that he couldn’t have picked up at Oxford. On top of that, he had to learn to be a father figure as well. It was a lot to heap on a young man's shoulders.

And Benedict saw all that.

Part of it is probably because he loves his brother, but another part of it might also be guilt. Guilt, because Benedict is just so goddamn grateful that the responsibility doesn't fall to him. Whatever the case, he has Anthony's back without question. Even when Anthony is clearly over-reacting, Benedict just goes with it, because he knows his brother is under a lot of stress, and is just doing the best he can for his family.

Mansplaining Female Superiors

Will Hooper: I think what Dr. Browne is trying to say is, given there's no perfect approach maybe it's best to defer to surgical department's recommendation.

Morgan Reznick: Did he just mansplain?

Claire Browne: *nods*

Will Hooper: Not at all, I was just trying to -

Claire Browne: So you're just going to do it again?

Will Hooper: No, I'm just trying to -

Browne & Reznick: Shut up.
