Ngl I lowkey hate when people still use the Asperger’s label for themselves. It’s no longer a diagnosis, it just falls under the autism umbrella, and it overall just feels like an autistic person who needs less support trying to separate themselves from the ‘weird’ autistic people who need more support

Like if it’s an older autistic person who uses Asperger’s bc that’s what they were diagnosed with at the time, I kinda get it, but I still just really don’t like the Asperger’s term, especially considering that Hans Asperger publicly supported nazi eugenics

TLDR, the use of the term ‘Asperger’s’ feels like an attempt to separate autistic people by functioning levels when we need to be working together to fight the stigma.

oh my god i'm so tired psychotic does not mean violent it does not mean angry or erratic. it refers to a person suffering from psychosis, a loss of touch with reality that includes hallucinations and/or delusions. psychotic people are not inherently violent and y'all need to understand how much stigma you create when you again and again incorrectly use the word psychotic without even thinking about it

I love how reminiscent Caine is of a mentally ill parent who refuses to get help and ends up inadvertently hurting their child because of it.

Most of the time, things are good. He’s positive and upbeat, and does his best to keep them all happy (no matter how much of it is done to boost his own self-esteem). And so for a while, things are okay.
