A character to a story I don't think I'm going to ever really work on, called Bug Caravan. This is Katri the worker yellow jacket. As winter approaches, instead of facing death she makes a "bug caravan" where any insect that would normally die in winter can travel together to warmer climates... and of course she's angry all the time... because she's a wasp :)
Box Foxes
Just finished a personal project I’ve been wanting to do for a while now... BOX FOXES. Little toy foxes that come in their own 3D box habitat. Would love to make a whole line of these one day.
This adventurous fox was made with stone clay and hand-painted. Their aviator hat and coat are made of real recycled leather and sheepskin.
Illustration inspired by the two main characters from Ray Bradbury's “Something Wicked this Way Comes”.
If M&Ms were stripped of their previous identity and redesigned from scratch, what would they look like? I decided to focus on their color palette and make it their identifying mark. By compartmentalizing each piece of candy, they become more precious, demanding more attention than they would have if they were lumped together in one bag.
Hand-carved recurve bow handle made from laminated maple and cherry. One day I’ll finally get myself to finish to whole thing...
Working on a deer figurine in stone clay.
Polyester plate lithograph of a train station in winter.
Gouache scifi poster for a human modification class.
Bent wood sculpture made from laminated birch and plywood. The two pieces, are balanced so that they can't stand on their own and can only remain upright when together.
Paper cut poster, created to support the need for access to clean water for everyone.
Shots of a kinetic bent wood sculpture I made a few years ago.
Just finished sketching this illustrative type project. Time to start painting!
First Post!
Hey there people, I’m Jules. I mostly plan to use this blog to post the projects I’m currently working on / what I’m up to. Short post is short.
