First #allotment #crop of #2019 yummy #rhubarb 😍 I'm making rhubarb and #strawberry crumbumble for pudding tonight. I've kept my #chard going all winter, not so much to feed my stomach as to feed my eyes! It is so beautiful with the dark green leaves and orange stalk, and it gives the naughty little snails something to hide in. Well I was not expecting THAT! It was frost-tastic at #dawn today. We all had #dragon breath and the sparrows were busy building up their nests from a neighbour's #pampasgrass . I even had to crack out Wally's winter coat again. Sensibly, Maisie chose to stay in bed until the sun warmed everything up. #bst has arrived - it's an hour less in bed, but an extra hour of daylight tonight. I remember when my kids were little, it was like they were suffering from #jetlag for a couple of days. Those days have passed so I can just enjoy the extra light now. I can hardly believe I'm a quarter through my year long #dailydoodle #challenge. My feisty little bestie decided to take on a #rook this morning. The rook had at least 2 things in its favour 1) it was behind a wrought iron gate and 2) it was nearly as big as she is! The first time I saw a #beefly I thought I'd discovered a new species! I'd never seen anything like it- hairy bee with a very pointy front. Turns out they're common as muck and they're in my garden all the time now😄 I also discovered where a #wren was nesting, thanks to the tufted little blue tit who was shrieking at it.
