Crazy Cacti

We stumbled upon this beautiful plant sale while looking at various shows for Milan design week. We had just left the Rosanna Orlandi Gallery and were heading down the road when we found this heaven of colours, patterns and sizes held in a beautiful old court yard. There was an extraordinary variety of cacti for sale. Shapes,sizes and colours that I had never seen before! Of course I wanted to buy one, the small ones were only €3 so it was more than reasonable but I knew the little thing wouldn't survive the rest of the day in my bag and then the plane journey back to the UK so I had to settle for some pictures instead of the real thing

Old meets New

Central St. Giles

This colourful 15 story office and residential building is located in the south of Camden close to Covent Garden. Completed in May 2010 and costing £450 million the Central St. Giles building stands out from the surrounding giorgian achitecture as im sure was the intention of architect Renzo Piano

In the fore ground in the grade 2 listed 219-229 building on Shaftesbury Avenue which is now home to Optical Express

Easter Tradition

The egg at Easter time symbolises new life and a new beginning.

So every Easter its tradition in my family to decorate eggs. With lots happening this year it was only Barbara and myself who dedicated their time to the egg decoration. This put us in charge of design and concept and as these naturally dyed eggs are our favourite we used up all the eggs and made 36 of them.

Patricks 20th Birthday Cake

Our amazing aunty Heike made this incredible birthday cake for my not so  little anymore brother to celebrate him turning 20 years old! 

As well as looking incredible the strawberry light sponge and cream cake also tasted incredible!

First run of the Year

Thank you Georg for taking me on my first run of the year through the Schweins Wald (Bores Forest). The air was clean, the sun was out and the sky was blue, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. A short but enjoyable 3.2km jog rounded off a perfect afternoon in the bavarian countryside.
